Vic's POV

We arrived at Tucson, AZ and were making a stop at a gas station to use the bathroom before we made our way to the hotel in which we would be staying in.

Our trip consisted of  Jordan singing along to his music, Mike pestering our driver saying "Are we there yet?" over and over in a very high pitched voice, and the driver pushing  him away. Jaime would be helping Mike out.

Tony was either sleeping in his bunk or messing around with his guitar. He seemed keen on avoiding Alex for some reason. Tony didn't seem to like her very much which was unfortunate since we were on tour and we all spend plenty of time with each other.

Autumn would also be in her bunk Facetiming her boyfriend, Ren, and only emerging when it was time to eat or to use the bathroom.

Jaime spent most of his time rummaging through the cupboards looking for snacks and third wheeling on the couch with Nathan and Alex.

Alex and Nathan were always binge watching anything on Netflix either in the living room or in one of their bunks or discussing topics that they felt strongly about.

Being on this tour got me closer to Alex. Not as close as I would like because her boyfriend was always with her, but... close enough. I noticed all her small quirks like when she furrowed her brows you knew she had a badass comeback to whatever Nathan or anyone else had just said (mostly Nathan). How you could see a sparkle in her eyes whenever a fight scene came on or if a character that she didn't like died. She bit her nails when she got nervous or stressed. She would play music in the shower and her playlist ranged from screamo to trap music to bachata. She knew every word to every song no matter the genre. How when we weren't doing anything and she was bored, she would put her hair up in different hair styles until finally choosing to just leave it down.

One night, Alex and Nathan were watching Bones on the couch and we all decided to join them since none of us had anything else to do. I had sat down next to Alex with her arm against mine. She was so warm and I felt the sudden urge to put my arms around her but Nathan was already doing that.

Nathan was an okay guy. He played a mean bass and had an impressive singing voice. He was a pretty good cook and always looked for a chance to roast someone. He was all in all a chill guy. The only reason anyone wouldn't like him was if they were in love with his girlfriend... Which I'm not saying I was.! Just that, you know, I wouldn't recommend it. We were pretty chill and hung out alot. Nathan and I had several inside jokes that we would take to our graves. He and I worked out together on the daily and I'm telling you, that guy was swol. He didn't have that big of a body type but this one time when we stopped at a park for fresh air, he told me to get on his back and he sprinted all around the park with me. I'm going to lie and say I wasn't terrified at all. And I did NOT pee a little...

When Alex saw the "Welcome to Tucson" sign she freaked out.

"Ahhhh! Melody is just 10 minutes away from here!" She grabbed Jaime's shirt and started to shake him," 10 minutes.!"

We all laughed at her but she didn't care. The whole gang understood how important Melody and her were in eachother's lives and no one would ever  be able to come inbetween that. Every once and a while, she would look through pictures that they took together on her phone. When Alex saw one that she really liked, she'd put her phone in who ever was close's face and say something like," Hey. Look. You see that.? That's Melody and me. We were at Chuck E. Cheese's for my sister's birthday. We won one hundred tickets in this one game that took us forever and about 200 coins to win."  And she'd probably go into a backstory on how her sister almost had the party at Monkey Joe's and how if she had they wouldn't have been able to play because they were "too old" so might as well not go. Then she would get into a rant on how there was no such thing as "too old" when it came to bouncy houses.

She even had a speech prepared if they refused to let her on," Sir/Ma'am, it is my constitutional right as a citizen of the great United States of America to play in any bouncy house that I please..." It continued with her arguing that that was the real idea behind the "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness" idea. She was in the pursuit of Happiness and she had discovered that bouncy houses brought her happiness so by God she would bounce to her hearts content and so on. Jaime was her number one supporter.

I thought about Alex too much. That wasn't good.

We unloaded our bags from the bus but left most of our stuff on to bring in later. I looked over everything. The rest of PTV and I each had one large suitcase filled with clothes and other manly products. Jordan and Autumn both had two large suitcase but Autumn also brought along a purse. Nathan had a Nike bag and a small carry on suitcase. Alex also had a small suitcase and a softball bag (bat included).

"You play softball?" I asked Alex. She looked up from her phone and her brown eyes looked like honey in the sun.

"No, Vicky. I got this bat to use if someone tries to jump us," she answered with a smirk then she walked into the hotel with everybody else. I couldn't tell if she was kidding or not.

I grabbed my suitcase and made my way into the hotel as our driver drove off to find a spot for our bus ( it was going to be awhile).

We got three rooms that were all on the top floor. Mike and Jaime would share a room and so did Tony and Jordan. Nathan and I were partnered up and Alex with Autumn.

As I made my way to the room, I saw Nathan and Alex talking in front of the door. They were speaking in hushed voices and looked like they were arguing about something. As I got closer, I cleared my throat to make my presence known. They both looked up and Nathan replaced his serious expression with a huge grin.

"Hey, Vic.! Uh, I hope you don't mind but I already put my stuff on the bed closest to the door. I hope that's alright.? I should've waited for you so you could choose your bed..." He smiled again and I wanted to punch him in the face for being so damn polite.

I took a breath and smiled," Nah, it's okay, man. I wasn't going to pick that one anyways."

   He looked relieved, "Okay, nice."

I started to move to the door when I looked at Alex. She looked up and smirked. She had me worried for a second that something serious was going on. But that's Alex, attitude until the end. I chuckled and closed the door behind me to let them finish talking. I look up and saw Nathan's bed.

That jackass got the one next to the only outlet in the room...
