I took the hair from my bun, cursing quietly.

I was up on the battlements, watching the sky turn from blue to an almost black. I stood out there, leaning on the battlements until I was shivering and in the slightly lit sky, staring at the moon. I felt my teeth chattering and I ran my fingers through my hair. I smiled, speaking to myself, "I haven't let my hair down in years." I heard a reply behind me, "Well, it's beautiful." I turned, finding Cullen. I immediately smiled, wishing I could run my hands through his hair. He always swept his blonde hair back and he was always wearing this fuzzy armor that looked really warm. I guess he saw me staring at his armor, because he smiled and unhooked the fur and feather part of his armor, draping it across my shoulders. I sighed, cuddling into his fur whatever it was, laughing at my own thoughts. "What are you laughing at?"

I shook my head, "What is this fur thing even called?" He chuckled at me and shrugged. "So, I have been meaning to speak with you, Commander." He turned to me, "Yes?" I swallowed the nervous lump in my throat and took a deep breath, "I find myself thinking of you, more than... Well all the time, really."

He turned away, speaking quietly so the guards wouldn't hear, "I can't say I haven't wondered what it would be like..." He trailed off into his own mind and I let out a small sigh of relief, "Well, what's stopping you?"

By now, both of us were near the edge and he was advancing toward me with my back to the walls of the battlements. "You're the inquisitor. We're at war and you... I didn't think it was possible." I smiled slightly,

"And yet I'm here."

He leaned in a bit, "So you are. It seems too much to ask." He leaned in further, "I want to-" My eyes darted to where I heard a door slam open and a hooded agent of Cullen's walked up as Cullen himself removed his hands from my hips and turned to the man. Cullen stood with a very intimidating posture as the man said, "I have the report you wanted." Cullen didn't say anything, so the man replied, "Leliana's report. You said you wanted it 'without delay'." I could see Cullen lean forward, taking on an even scarier form and the man looked toward me, then back to Cullen.

"To your office, right." He then backed away slowly as if expecting Cullen to attack him. Then he bolted out the door and as soon as he was gone, Cullen was back to where he was before.

I let my eyes dart toward the door, "If you need to-" he then leaned in just enough to fill the gap between us and kissed me softly. He pulled back after a couple seconds, "I'm sorry, that was... Um, really nice." He looked toward the ground, smiling. I smirked, "That is what I wanted." I then brought our lips together again, making sure to savor this moment and remember every perfect little thing about it.
