Chapter 5.

Kakashi pov

After the fight with the eight tails I was surprised that Mamoru didn't get a scratch on him, I mean her. After reveling that she was a girl shocked me in so many ways.

We payed our thanks to the Raikage and started walking home, with a past out Mamoru on my back. "KAKASHI! MY YOUTHFUL RAIVAL! WHE-" I cut Gai off by giving a whack on the head. "Quiet! We do have a sleeping kid with us!" I whispered/shouted at Gai. He anime cry. I sweat drop. 'Really?'

"Sorry. When will our youthful comrade will wake from her slumber?" He asked. I shrugged my shoulders. "I'm not sure Gai. She never did cease to amaze us. First it's the sharingan now the byakugan? We better tell the Hokage about this." Gai nodded his head in agreement.

I tried reaching something in my weapons pouch without waking Mamoru. Once I grabbed I was looking for I pulled it out and opened the book. Icha Icha paradise. I made sure I didn't fangirl all over the book with anyone around. 'Omg! I can't wait what's going to happened next!'

'Oops. Fangirl moment.' When walking I felt Mamoru stir in her sleep. "Gai I think she's waking up." I said putting her down under a tree. I sat down next to her reading the book while Gai was doing, push ups. 'I wonder what it'll be like having Gai as the lazy one and I'm the energetic.' I thought while reading.

In the corner of my eye I saw Mamoru moving a lot in her sleep. She started to sweat a lot and whimpered from time to time. I put the book down and start shaking her. "Hey Mamoru, wake up." I said shaking her. Gai walked over to me. "What's going on?" He asked. "I think she's having a nightmare, and I can't wake her up." I said shaking her a little more violent.

Beads of sweat went down her forehead fast, and she mumbled. "I didn't mean to kill them. Please spare me." 'What did she mean, I didn't mean to kill them. Whose them?' I shook her more. "Mamoru get up! You need to wake up!" I shouted.

She shot opened her eyes screaming. She sat up and grabbed me, with a tight grip on my vest. She was shaking violently, and kept looking everywhere. I slowly put my arms around her into a hug. She flinched at first but than started to calmed down.

She put her head into my chest and started crying. "P-please, don't l-let h-him take m-me." She said in between sobs. Me and Gai gave her a confused look. "No one is going to take you Mamoru. I promised."I said trying to sooth her down. She look up to me, with tears going down her face. I wiped them away and asked her something. "Now tell me. Who's going to take you?" I asked. While stroking her hair.

She look around her surroundings before answering. "Orochimaru." She said and hid her face in the crook of my neck. Me and Gai froze at that name. 'Orochimaru.' I look at Gai and he nodded his head. 'We definitely have to tell the Hokage about this.' I thought and stood up.

Mamoru wrapped her legs around my waist and tightened her grip around my neck. I wrapped one arm around her waist so she doesn't fall. We began walking again with a silent crying Mamoru in my arms.

It took us a few days to get back to the leaf village. I was still carrying Mamoru in my arms, and I got a few weird looks from the villagers but I ignored them. We came to a stop to two big red doors that led to the Hokages office. Gai knocked on the door and we heard a, "Enter" from the other side. Gai opened the door and said. "GOOD AFTERNOON LORD HOKAGE! WE CAME BACK FROM OUR YOUTHFUL MISSION!"

I whacked Gai on the head, and he anime cry. "Use your indoor voices." I said. I turned my head to look at the Hokage and he also gave me a weird look. "Why are you carrying Mamoru?" He asked. I look down and saw Mamoru waking up.
