My name is Jimmy. I'm a collector, of sorts. I used to collect simple things like video games and other things. I had began collecting games when I was 12 years old, because it seemed like a simple hobby at first. I didn't really talk about it, it really was just a stupid hobby. I did enjoy it, because I usually did find a good game once in a while. My friend, Jake, loved video games as much as I did, and it really was a nice little hobby. He and I would play games that ranged in rating, from stupid kids games to really gory and inappropriate games. So, one day I was cleaning out my attic, looking for some games to sell, until I stumble across a PC game that I never really saw before. Now, before your all like 'oh, it probably has no cover and it says Sonic.exe', that actually wasn't the case. The cover had a pretty girl on it, but she was almost blanketed by darkness, from her black hair to her black boots. She wore a black, industrial jacket and from the dark shading, had white pale skin. The only feature that was visible, were her glowing blue eyes. This feature, made me a little interested. I saw the cover in white text: Puppets. I thought that trying out the game would be pretty fun and interesting. So, I decided to give it a try. I quickly gathered up some of the games I was going to sell, and I went back downstairs to my room. I talked to Jake and decided to ask him about the game. He said he had never heard of the game before, or seen the cover. He said that he would come over and watch me play it, just in case something were to happen. I know, he's a bit over protective over his friend, then again I'm his only friend. He came over and we went upstairs to my bedroom where I put the disk in. The game started up within a couple of seconds. The screen was black for a while until some white text appeared.
"BE WARNED."

I shook my head as Jake and I laughed it off. The screen finally popped up with the same girl in the background as some music started. The music was instrumental, and was a simple piano. But, it was awfully sad. There were four options, all white except for the second one, which was obviously grayed out. NEW GAME CONTINUE GAME OPTIONS CREDITS.

I clicked new game and waited. I looked at Jake, who smiled, knowing that we were both excited. A calm sounding female voice began to speak as subtitles popped up, along with what she was saying.

"Life. What's the point of it? Survival? The continuation of some strange species? Just to be born and die later? Why are we alive? What's the reasoning behind our trivial existence? Why? Just why? I cannot say I have an exact answer to the question, nor can I say I don't have an answer at all. My reasoning about why we're alive? To die."

I shivered a little bit at the though of only living to die later. Maybe she was right.

"The story of my friends and I is not going to be your happiest of tales. If you have a problem with not having a happy story to play with, get the hell away from the computer. If you get scared easily, get the hell away from the computer. If you think you can make us do what you want, get. the. hell. away. from. me." That line freaked me out a bit.

"So, if none of these qualify for you, then get ready....."

The screen faded to a picture of a girl with her back to the camera. She turned around to look at me with a blank expression. It cut to a frame of her face as she gave a quick evil grin as the screen went to black instantly. The game started up. I was playing as a girl. She was standing in a room. It had wooden floors, painted pink walls and a bed that looked extremely girly. The entire room was girly, to be honest. But, the girl I was playing wasn't really a girly looking girl. She had long brown hair that it her frame nicely. She wore a dark red t-shirt that said on the front: "Rebel Girl." And on the back, "Danger." She wore long blue jeans and black Sketchers. She wore long red and white striped fingerless gloves and her face was blank. She had blue eyes and luscious lips. She wore brown eye shadow, black eyeliner and pink lipstick. A text box popped up with her face in the corner.
???: Well, it's a Saturday and 12 in the afternoon, with a dose of stormy weather. What pops out of the oven of life? A pie fit for gloom and doom.
