Last Day Of School

I stared in the mirror as my mom did my hair. It has only been three months since my sisters murder. Yet it feels like it was just yesterday. "She would be happy for you" mom said finishing my hair. "Yeah i know" i said trying to hold back my tears. I got up out of my chair to put my dress on. Its a red velvet color which is short in the front and long in the back. My sister picked it out for me i dont like it, but i'll wear it for her. Today was my last day in high school i'm suppose to give a speech for graduation. I hope what i have is good. We gathered into the car and made our way to school.

I meet my friends in the school gym where the ceremony would be held. "Im so nervous" i said to lena who was holdinf my hand trying to calm me down. "You'll do great" she said gripping my hand a little harder. We all gathered around our set as a teacher walked on stage. "We willnow announce the M.C.H.S  2019 high school graduates" he said looking at a piece of paper.

One after another he called people on stage to receive their diplomas. Finally it was my turn "Skyler Lydia Rose" he announced as the gym filled with roars of family and friends. Well almost all my family. "She will now give her speech" he said joining the crowd. "OK everyone im a little nervous so give a little brake" i said as every one laughed.

"Ok so in elementary school they asked us what we wanted to be" i said as the gym became silent. "We answered pop star, doctor, and teacher. They asked again in middle school and we said singer, actor, and nurse." "Now we're in high school they want a serious answer, well here it is, who the hell knows" as i finished my speech everyone cheered. As the ceremony came to an end it was time to leave and start our lives. Me and Lena went to my house to get ready for the after party. While everyone else went to Rose's place.
