Chapter 13 - Sierra and May

I woke up on the the hospital bed and rubbed my eyes. Mason was sitting by my side holding Sierra in his arms and cradling her close. I smiled and looked over at the glass crib where May was wriggling about in. Reaching over, i lifted her up and held her in my arms.

"Oh, goodmorning" Mason said looking up at me.

"Goodmorning" I replied kissing May's fragile little head.

Sierra and May were my beautiful 8 days old twin baby girls. They are both gorgeous like their daddy and funny like their mum. I smiled as May giggled and looked up at me with her bright blue eyes. I held her small hand and kissed it.

Mason was playing with Sierra, holding her in the air and making faces to make her laugh. I could tell that when she grew up she would be a daddy's girl. Unlike May who is much closer to me. What am i saying? they are only 8 days old. Things may change as they grow up. I sat up properly and placed May back in her cot and watched as Mason did the same to Sierra.

"You do know that you are coming back home today" Mason reminded me.

"Yeah, i know" I replied getting out of bed and going into the bathroom.

I washed my face and, using a comb, i tied my hair into a ponytail. I applied some eyeliner and some lipstick. Even at the hospital i still needed to look great. i walked out and fixed my boring grey dress that i got from the hospital and sat back in bed.

A nurse walked in and smiled as she saw me already awake.

"Mrs Graham you are leaving in a bit. I suggest you change back into your clothes and start packing up" She said. Then she looked over at Sierra and May and smiled once again at me.

"They look very healthy" She said.

"Well i do try my best" I said.

Mason got up and started putting all my things back into my bag.

"Mason can you please get me a cup of coffee?" I asked getting out of bed again.

"Sure" he said.

"Thanks for everything" I said giving him a peck on the lips and grabbing my clothes, heading to the bathroom. I changed into a full sleeved white shirt that showed my shoulders, and black skinny jeans with blue sneakers. I quickly got out and folded my dress, then i made my bed and placed the folded dress on the bed. I then smiled as Mason walked in with my cup of coffee. I took a sip of it, feeling relaxed as the hot liquid went down my throat.

"Are you ready?" Mason asked lifting Sierra and May up.

"Yep" I replied taking May off him, he then lifted my bags up and we walked to the car. We opened the car doors and placed Sierra and May in their pink and brown car seats and buckled them in. Then we sat at the front and drove back home, finally.

I smiled as i looked at my house. I had not seen it in a very long time. I got out and got May and Sierra out too, holding them in my arms i closed the car door and walked to the front door with Mason behind me, carrying my bags. I opened the door and sniffed the jasmine scent. I looked around happily and then i went upstairs to the girls'room. I put them both in their cribs and tucked them in, kissing their cheeks. I switched their room lights off and went to my room and jumped on the bed. 

"I'm glad you enjoy being back" Mason said smirking as he placed all my bags down. 

"I've missed my bed so much" i said streching my arms and legs.

I soon left the bed and started putting my make up, my clothes, my food and all the new baby cards and gifts away. I went downstairs and started on lunch, tuna pasta. 

Suddenly, the phone rang. I ran and answered it.

"Hello" I answered.

"Hey!" A voice squealed.

"JoJo!" I squealed back excitedly.

"Eli!" She squealed again.

"How are you?" I asked.

"Oh, im great. Guess what?" Jodie asked me.

"What?" I eagerly asked.

"Lucas proposed!" Jodie said.

"OMG Really?" I asked

"Yep! And obviously i said yes, we are getting married in a month, you can be my bridesmaid of honour!" She said.

"Yay!" I screamed.

"How are my two little cuties?" Jodie asked.

"They are fine, just having a nap" I explained, curling the telephone wire around my finger.

"Hey, can i come over? with mum and dad?" She asked.

"Sure! I'm sure the girls would love to see their grandparents." I said, smiling.

"Okay, i'll be over for dinner then. See you soon bye!" Jodie said.

"Bye!" I replied, ending the call. I ran upstairs to our room.

"Mason, Lucas proposed to Jodie!" I said, breaking the news to him.

"Really?" He asked, shocked. I nodded. 

"Well thats good. Lucas was a great guy" Mason then said. 

"Oh and Jodie and your parents are coming over for dinner tonight" I explained.

"Okay" He replied.

I then went back into the kitchen and continued cooking my tuna pasta. I got out pasta sticks and placed them into a cooking pot on the oven filled with boiling hot water. Then i got tuna out from a can and cut it into little pieces. I threw the tuna pieces into the pot and mixed it with a large spoon. After 20 minutes i added some spices and mixed it some more. Then i poured the pasta into a bowl and placed it on the table.

"Dinner is ready!" I yelled, getting two plates and two forks out and placing it on the table too.

Mason came down the stairs and joined me for lunch. I ate and ate and ate til' my tummy was full.

"I thought the doctor said to lose your weight" Mason teased me. I giggled and slapped his back. 

"Shut Up!" I said, going upstairs to see why Sierra and May were crying. I switched their room lights on and lifted them both out.

"Why are my two little angels upset?" I asked tickling their tummies.

They were probably hungry. I carried them downstairs and handed them to Mason. Then i went into the kitchen and heated up some milk. I tested the warmth of the milk on my wrist, then i poured it into two pink and white bottles. I tightened the cap and went back into the living room with the two bottles. I took May off of him and placed her on my laps. Then i handed Mason one bottle, for him to feed Sierra. I placed the bottle near May's mouth and smiled as she opened up and started sucking the milk out the bottle. After feeding them, me and Mason took them to their room and changed their clothes. I made them both wear pink baby suits. Sierra's said copy and May's said paste, as Sierra was born 5 minutes before May.

Then i went and changed into a white knee-length summer dress and opened my hair, letting it flow loose. I applied some light make up and wore white flats.
