You Reject, You Regret

Chapter 2

EVAN

I know that Carter's my mate, but I don't want her to be the Alpha Female. Not when I can have Katia. Anyway I've basically rejected her; I had sex with another person even though I knew who my mate was. I need to reject her for good, I need a strong person, it doesn't have to be a werewolf but it can be any kind of supernatural. Carter IS NOT STRONG!

"Hey babe, I'm going to go after Carter."

"Why?" came Katia's genius reply

"Cos, I need to reject her so you can become Alpha Female."

"Okay, I know you only went out with her to find out what kind of person she was and if she was strong enough, "

I got out of the bed and put my boxer's, jeans and my top on and went downstairs to see Mrs Gonzolez looking ready to kill me "Evan, why on EARTH, would you do that to your mate?"

"Sorry, did I say that you could speak to me. Carter's weak, she allows people to bully her. That's not what you expect from an Alpha Female plus the fact that she's human."

"Carter cannot be human; you go to a school for supernatural students. No humans are allowed to an enter that school."

"Eh, whatever." I sauntered out of the house and into my car, I drove to the Emerson household and saw Carter with Casey, Carter was crying her eyes out.

CARTER

"Casey, can you leave us alone for a sec." I turned round to see Evan there. I pushed Casey out the way.

"What do you want Evan?"

"Carter, I don't want you as my mate so I'm rejecting you."

As soon as he said those words, it felt as if my heart had been ripped out and stomped on a thousand times so its been broken into a thousand pieces.

"Just go away Evan and you WILL regret rejecting me!"

"I don't think so sweetheart." Then he just turned and left.

I curled up on the spot and started crying my eyes out, I felt myself being picked up. I saw Connor and I snuggled into his chest and continued crying. While I was watching TV with Casey I felt this searing pain on my neck, it felt like someone had branded me. Evan had marked someone else, more specifically, Evan had marked Katia.

"Carter, you okay?" Connor asked "Do you want me to beat him up?"

"No I'm not okay Connor but I'm going to get revenge. I more powerful than him I'm a half wizard half angel for crying out loud. And as I haven't gotten my powers yet I'm going to be really strong and he will beg for mercy."

*THE NEXT DAY*

"CARTER, GET YOUR LAZY ASS OUT OF BED. WE'RE GOING TO CALIFORNIA TODAY!" Casey shouted as she pulled the covers off me.

"Okay, go away and I'll get out of bed."

"I'm not falling for that again."

Damn, last time I did that we had to use dad's private jet to get to the family reunion in New York because we missed the flight.

Ugh, I dragged myself out of bed and took a shower; I put my underwear on and started hopping around cos I stubbed my toe on my desk chair. That's how mum found me. She looked at me like I was crazy.

"Carter, hurry up and wear these." She pointed to three quarter length jeans and a nirvana t-shirt. I grabbed them and pushed my mum out of the room and hurriedly put them on. I ran downstairs grabbed a piece of toast from the kitchen, ran to the hallway grabbed my sandals then ran to the stretch limo climbed in ate my toast and put my shoes on.

Only then did I realise I forgot my hand luggage. I grabbed the keys from my dad, ran to my room grabbed my bag, phone and my laptop, charger etc. and ran back to the limo only pausing to give the keys to Lisa , the maid, so she could lock the door and ran back to the limo. I'm completely out of breath. I need to do more exercise.

*AFTER THE PLANE RIDE*

I got out the limo, grabbed my suitcase, crossed my bag over my body and put my phone in my trouser pocket and held my laptop and charger and walked up to my room. I knew it was my room because it had the name Carter all over the door. I opened it and it looked like a mini apartment. That's when I realised that this was a pack house and we were going to be living with other supernatural creatures that lived in this house.

As soon as I put my luggage down, I felt a horrible pain go down my back. "Mum!" I yelled, Everybody came rushing up the stairs to me, I felt myself shrinking, growing, bones cracking, freezing, boiling everything you can possibly imagine. When I had finally finished, mum pushed me in front of a mirror. I gasped, my hair was a dark chestnut brown and it was like just past my boobs it was also really wavy. I didn't really grow, so I am cursed to be a midget all my life, but my eyes were much better so I don't need glasses anymore. My spots had cleared up. I was slim. I had long legs, I looked fab.

"Oh my god!" I cried "I've got my powers!"

"My little girl looks so beautiful." Dad sobbed, everybody looked at him weirdly. "What, I can't be happy that my little girl has gotten her powers. She's more powerful than all of us put together."

"Guys, out let me pack. Wait I need to go shopping, Casey lets go right now." We linked arms and walked out of the pack house to the shopping centre and bought a whole range of clothes, when we got back to the pack house I bumped into this really hot guy on the angel floor and well you can say I didn't exactly go back to my apartment/room thingy that night. His name is Angelo Costello, major HOTTIE, I might ask him out, I mean we're not in the 1960's anymore.

Dear Diary,

What happened yesterday has got to be the worst thing that has ever happened to me in my life, but then who knew the turnouts of today's events. I gave up my cherry, I have a kind-of boyfriend but also knowing that whenever I do the deed it will hurt Evan like someone is twisting up his insides is awesome because I can hurt him. But he will never experience the pain that I felt when he marked Katia. I know that sounds mean but I just want to get revenge. You know the saying 'Hell hath no fury, like a mate scorned'. You reject, you regret.
