Let's Date

Chapter 2

I park my car in my usual parking spot at the school. Bella and I both get out of the car just in time to see Aiden parking his motorcycle next to us. "How the heck did you reach at the same time as us?!" I exclaim. "Calm down I drive fast", he shrugs his shoulders while removing his helmet off. He runs his hand through his hair and I can't help but swoon at the little action.

Isabella spots Jake near the entrance of the school, "See you in class guys!", she shouts over her shoulders, making her way to Jake. She's always had this huge crush on Jake. I could see why, he's gentle and caring and really sweet. He was like a huge teddy bear. That also explains the fact that he is 6'4 at the very least.

Aiden turns towards me to avoid looking at Bella and Jake I presume. "What are you waiting for? Let's go. School starts in another five minutes", he pushes me to walk. We split up to go to our lockers. I get my books out necessary for the day and go towards my first class.

Time flies. And by flies I mean really slowly. Finally its lunch time. I just had Math and unfortunately I'm alone in this class. I'm really smart at math. What can I say? Me and numbers just match perfectly. So I'm in a higher class for math. I walk towards the school canteen and spot Aiden and Ian at our usual table.

"Hey guys", I greet them and sit down. "Hey nerd", Aiden smirks at me still taunting me about being in Advanced Math. I roll my eyes. Ian nods his head at me too busy hogging his food. Ian is a good friend of ours. We met him two ears ago when he first moved here.

"I'm gonna get some food", I get up and go to the line. I feel my back pocket vibrating and I take my cell out. Seeing it's Bella, I pick up. "Hey sis", I answer my phone. "Hey Gabs, listen I'm going out of the school for lunch with Jake so don't worry ok", she says excitedly. "Calm down girl, have fun and stay safe", I giggle. She says bye and cuts the call.

I smile down my phone. I'm happy for her. Then I look towards the table and see Aiden troubling Ian and a frown forms on my face. I shake my head and get my food. Good thing it's special pizza Mondays. Pizza always makes me feel better. The rest of the day flies by and school for the day is over.

 

Isabella ditched school for the rest of the day I guessed. She wasn't in History last hour. I text her to ask her if she's coming back with me. She replies almost instantly no. I smile and notice Aiden's motorcycle missing from the parking lot. Guess he left already. I start my car and head home.

I park my car and get in the house. I hear some noise coming from the living room. I make my way towards the living room to investigate. "Don't you have a bigger TV at your home Aiden", I narrow my eyes at him. He's lying on my sofa comfortably and munching on some potato chips.

He looks up at me, "But that place doesn't have you", he pouts. My heart skips a beat. I quickly change my shocked expression and chuck a pillow at him. He caught me off guard there. "Oh come ooon, I was bored and hungry", he complains like a little kid. "Yeah yeah, dummy", I sit on his legs. He pulls them out under me and puts them on my lap.

We continue watching TV until Aiden falls asleep. I look over the clock and it's almost nine. Where the heck is Isabella? And just then I hear the front door shut. "GABBY!! Where are you! I have good news", Isabella screams. "In here", I reply. Aiden wakes up from all the screaming.

"Good, you both are here. I have some good news", Isabella says sounding all worked up. Aiden perks up beside me. "You guys are never gonna guess what happened today", she squeals and covers her blush. "Say it Bells, you're making me really curious", I smile and encourage her to go on.

"Jake asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes", she shrieks and starts jumping up and down. I hug her and laugh, "Chill girl, I'm happy for you". I look towards Aiden and regret it instantly. He looks like someone just took his heart out and stomped on it. I frown and he notices me looking at him. He looks away.

"Uhh, congrats Bella", Aiden speaks out giving her a fake smile. Isabella being too distracted doesn't notice this. "Thanks A", she grins up at him. She gets a call and excuses herself to her room. Aiden suddenly gets up and walks out the back door. I follow him to the swing in our backyard.

I seat myself beside him and hug him sideways. "Are you okay? Wait of course you're not okay. Sorry stupid question. I'm sorry Aiden" I squeeze his shoulder. He keeps looking down. "You know what the worst part is, she doesn't even know how I feel about her", he sighs.

I frown. How do I console him? I suddenly remembered what I read in a magazine two days ago. Something about people who share the same pain understand each other better. "Aiden, if it makes you feel better, I know exactly how you feel", I say looking up at the sky.

"I've always been in love with.. "
