I Tried

It's School

I stepped into class with a smile ear-to-ear. I woke up on time, I had a great nights sleep and I was feeling sassy today. Today's gonna be a great day, I reassured myself. 

"BlaKE!! Get your ass in your seat you sexy bitch!!"

I rolled my eyes and sat down without even acknowledging the voice because i already knew who it was.

"Hi, Eliza...how's life bitch?"

"Whoa chill out you two. I know you're BFF's but still, is that necessary on a Monday morning?" I heard Landon say from his desk. Anyway Landon's chill. I've known him for a while. Maybe I'll tell you about him later.

"Yes!" we both replied simultaneously.

"Ok, geez, chill the FUCK out," he said with a flirty smile.

I knew he liked me ( I did, too)  but i was also in love with my BFF... 

... Yeah let that sink in for a moment. 

To make matters worse, I have a girlfriend. 

Things just aren't great for me at the moment. There's no way in hell that I'm telling Eliza that I'm in love with her.

The bell rang and the teacher rushed in with a shit ton of bags. I wonder what those are for. "Sorry guys!! I'm running a a little late today," she apologized, looking flustered.

"THAT'S OK MRS. ACKERMEN!" some random asshat shouted.

Mrs. Ackermen gave the random asshat a very stern look that would have gone straight through my eyes and shattered my soul. She's a great teacher, but you don't want to mess with her. I heard that she got so mad at a student, she literally kicked him out of her class. I have no doubt that he had what was coming to him but that's just me.

Beep! Beep! Beep! came from the loudspeakers and everyone went silent, anxious and curious  to hear what the announcement was. 

"Please excuse this interruption, but we are having an interior lockdown; please follow the procedures on your handout immediately-"AAEEIIEEII!!" The announcement was interrupted by a loud scream followed by two gunshots. thump! It had taken me a couple seconds to realize what happened, considering I went numb at hearing the gunshots. When I came to my senses, I realized that we had just heard the principal get shot twice and then fall down.

Everyone was screaming; not only from my classroom, but also from people in the hallway and from other classrooms down the hall. I could hear noises above me, including running, stomping feet, shouting and screaming. There were some unidentifiable noises I heard, but I didn't care. The only thing I cared about was getting to safety. At this point, the teacher had already closed the door and was close to getting us all away from the doors and windows, trying to get us quiet at the same time. 

"EVERYONE SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Mrs. Ackermen shouted. She was holding a whistle and looked frantic. I couldn't blame her; if i was scared, she had to be too.

BANG! BANG! BANG!  We all froze, knowing that the only thing that could be on the other side had to be bad. "Nobody move," Mrs. Ackerman whispered.

"LET ME IN PLEASE PLEASE!!!" A women pleaded from the other side of the door. "AAAAII!" We heard another scream, a gunshot and then there was silence....."PLEASE LET ME IN!" I  found it suspicious that after the gunshot, the same women was trying to get in......
