Flames rose in the smokey air. The pillars of flame and smoke mixing together, forming a column of orange smoke and flame. Four headlights appeared flying through the smoke, tailpipe adding to the dense smokey air. The headlights had an odd number, clearly seen through them. 32-20. The yellow mustang roared as it flew out into the open air, hood centered on the yellow line. It was the 32-20 Fire Mustang. No one knew where it or the driver had come from, it just appeared and disappeared, almost as if it was by magic. The flames were now behind it, but still reflected off the hood, top and bumper. The flames mingled with the red twilight sky, and the smoke changed colours from grey, to orange and then to red before back to grey.

"What are we going to do, sir?"
"I don't know, Cooper."
"But we have to do something! We can't just let them get away with this."
"Well if you've got an idea, Cooper, spit it out."
"Catch them," Ryan Cooper replied.
"And how are you thinking of just simply catching them? They ran right through out last few blockades, wrecked four cruisers, and took out a helicopter!"
"By focusing on a leader. Let the low rankers go for now, and by capturing the leader, the lowers will lose heart."
"You should have been a military man, Cooper."
"I don't like the killing, that's why I'm not," Ryan Cooper replied quietly. "As it is I don't like some of the treatment served out here."
"Well, neither do I," The other speaker was a high ranking police officer, dressed in uniform. "But rules are rules, and they bring it on themselves."
Ryan nodded, "They do, but I still feel sorry for them."
Ryan was dressed casual, as he was mainly an undercover police officer. He rarely showed in uniform.
"So, Cooper," The officer leaned back in his chair, looking earnestly at Ryan from across the desk. "You're going after the 32-20 Fire Mustang's driver then?"
"With permission, sir."
"You indeed have my permission! Good luck to you, Ryan." The officer reached out his hand for a shake. "May you catch our man... or woman, whichever it may be."
"Thank you," Ryan accepted the handshake, and then after saluting, he left the office. On his way out, he transformed his attitude from that as a police officer to a street racer.
