"Beth!" He looked around desperately. "Beth, please! Wake up!".
"BETH!" Dan stared at the dead body in front of him, wishing none of this would have happened. And it was all his fault.

From the moment he was born, he was a problem to everyone, especially the ones around him.
"Beth, please! Don't leave me alone in this. I don't know what to do! Please Beth, please come back... Don't leave me..." he sobbed as he kneeled beside her, trying to bring her back from death, shaking her shoulders.
Collapsing over her, he hugged her, not caring about the rain that was making everything wet.
Why would he care about getting wet anyways. He had just lost Beth. He had lost everything he had. The only person who cared about him, the only one who stayed with him after everything.

She was the only person he had truly loved. And now she was gone, again because of his fault.

For centuries he had tried not to make friends, not to even speak to someone. How could he if everyone would die anyways.
He wanted to die, after all he had lived he just wanted to die, to leave this horrible world and body, to ease his mind. But he couldn't. He couldn't die, he had tried several times, but he just couldn't die.

That was his curse. The curse of being immortal.
