There's an old legend about what is to happen at the end of the world.
The scales of Life and Death among the mortals are balanced, and through all plague and famine, have always been balanced. There will one day be a time of unbalance, where Death will overrule Life. The scales depend on two immortals who have been around since the start of their father Time's ruling. The only way one of the two immortals can die is if the scales unbalance. When the scales unbalance, the strength of Life will weaken rapidly for as long as their scales continues to drop. It is known that Death will rise higher, but at the point of unbreakable control will cause the death of Life. The death of the immortal Life will be the death of the entire world.
