Scene 1
(Lights fade in on Stage Left)
[Ellie and Annie are talking]
Ellie:
So what are you doing this weekend.
Annie:
Oh... umm nothing.
Ellie:
Oh... okay well do you want to go to the Movies then.
Annie:
Um... let me think, and hey did you see troy today.
Ellie:
Other then he's the mayor of Hotington, maybe.
Annie:
(Sarcastically) Yeah he really is.
[Ellie sighs while Annie sighs secretly]
Ellie:
Hey if you can come maybe we can ask Troy to come along.
Annie:
Um, I don't think I'll be able to um... (Silence) I'll talk to you later.
Ellie:
Oh... um... ok. (Confused)
(Annie walks off Stage Right)
Ellie:
Hmm... (Confused) I wonder what's up with her?
(Lights fade out on Stage Left)
Scene 2
(Lights fade in on Stage Right)
[Ellie and Gary are talking]
Gary:
So what's up with you.
Ellie:
Oh well...... I like Troy.
Gary:
Well... (Interrupted)
Ellie:
And I noticed that Annie was acting a little weird.
Gary:
Okay well I don't think Troy is umm a good boyfriend and I don't know Annie that well so... yeah.
Ellie:
Okay then (Confused)
Gary:
Plus I just think a smart girl like you shouldn't be with (Disgusted) him.
Ellie:
(Confused) Um is that a complement.
Gary:
Uh yeah
Ellie:
(Confused and Upset) Well I'd better go.
[Ellie walks off stage right and sits down on the bench]
(Lights fade out on Stage Right)
Scene 3
(Lights fade in on Stage Left)
[Ellie is on a bench Sad, Upset, Depressed, and Confused]
[A few seconds later Alan and Tony come in and see her]
Alan & Tony:
Are you okay.
Ellie:
Not really. (Stands up)
