Chapter 1

~Laurance' POV~
My father summons me to his castle. I usually just ignore it. Mostly because I know he's only going to make me do something boring like go slay a few hundred ghasts to get their tears for some weird stuff he's going to do. *Sigh* If only he picked a stronger physical form he could do all of these things himself.

I went to the castle this time.

"What?"

I asked him. I saw Vylad there, too. Which is weird considering he doesn't really like him that much.

"Finally. What took you so long?!"

He says in his deep, frightening voice... That I eventually got used to.

"Look, you know why I kept summoning you to do all of those things for me? It was because I wanted you and your friend Vylad here to go to the Overworld together. For a mission."

A mission? Hm... This could be interesting. Something sounds off, though.

"A mission to finally end-"

"Irene?"

Vylad says.

"Exactly. And this time, we will finally end her."

End her? Ugh... Not this again.

"That's what you said to us when you sent Gene to do that like decades ago... Heh, it was epic."

"Epic fail."

Vylad says trying to butt in.

"What? Epi-... No matter. So again You and Vylad are going to the overworld. I mean it. You are going to find Irene and going to bring her back here. Alive. Do whatever you have to do. Just bring her back."

So he's actually serious about this... Finding Irene. *Moan* Well I should thank Sasha for updating me on all of the stuff that's been happening over there. Or else I'll never 'fit in'.

"Go to the nether portal in this day. Just do it whenever you're ready. Now, leave and go plan."

"Why Me?"

"Because you, son, were given my strength and essence when I created you. That's why I called you my own."

"Now, go."

I look to Vylad and told him I'll be at the portal. Then he holds me on the shoulder and stops me from walking away. Wow he has such a grip. I look to him rubbing my shoulder.

"What?!"

"You're not going to the overworld in those."

Then I realized I still had this Shadow Lord stuff on me.

"Oh. Right.. Well, Vylad... That's the thing. I don't really have 'modern' clothes people from the overworld wear."

"Here."

He throws me an old looking but clean satchel.

"Put those on."

He says leaving the castle. I'm guessing these are clothes from the overworld. Where did he get these things, anyway? I'll just look at them when I go to my room to change.

[Laurance arrives in his room]

I open the satchel and just 'poured' all the stuff out of it. I put on the clothes he gave me. A plain white shirt, a leather jacket, pants, and these... Sneakers...? Whatever. I go to where Father said the portal would be.

I see Vylad just arriving at the portal wearing 'modern' stuff, too. Then we both jumped in the portal that My father took SOOOOO long to open. Well, he has been working on that thing for years... Maybe even centuries... Whatever.

Vylad and I appear behind a house. I look around and see all the amazing things around me... Woah. This was cooler than I thought.Then I caught something else in the corner of my eye. Something even more majestic than anything I ever saw yet. Woah.

Hehehe.. What do you think Laurance~Senpai saw? Heehee..
