You may all remember the famous treaty of hudeybia but let me just remind it..A treaty was signed between kuffars of Makkah and Muslims where the kuffars laid some rules in their favor and Prophet (PBUH) agreed to abide by those rule. They were:

1 No Makkkans (Muslims) should go to Medina even if they join Muslims they should be returned to kuffars but Medinians who are interested in joining kuffars should be permitted.
2 Muslims should not perform Umrah this year.
3 They should not fight with Makkans for 10 years.etc..

Right after the treaty was signed a companion of Prophet (PBUH) was imprisoned by his own father since the the time he embraced Islam ran towards Prophet (PBUH) with eyes filled with tears,dirty clothes and a satisfactory smile on his face of joining his companions soon threw himself to Prophet's (PBUH) arm.

Prophet embraced him and wished to take him to Medina but soon He was reminded about the treaty which included that no Makkan (Muslims) should leave Makkah and join Muslims Prophet (PBUH)was no doubt the man who kept his promise and so were the Sahabas. Thus this companion was left in Makkah in such a pathetic situation. The Sahaba was none other than Abu Jandal(Raz) the brave hero of Islam and son of the chief of Makkah Suhail Ibn Amr..

This shows that our religion is something which encourages fulfillment of promise even if it goes against our will..I salute the divinity of our religion..
