My alarm blares in my ears. I grab my phone, shutting off the annoying sound. I rise dressing for the day.
As I make my way downstairs, I hear loud snoring. Hunter is still spread across the back of the couch.
I start off by making breakfast.
Kody walks into the room.
"My head is pounding."
"Do you need an aspirin?"
"Back off, Rion. He's my friend. I'll take care of him."
Oh Hunter.
I throw my hands up in defeat.
"What do you want for breakfast?"
"As long as it's something edible, I can care less."
"Poisonous apples it is!"
"Poison us and you'll be out on the streets in a heartbeat."
I nod and they disappear somewhere else in the house. I grab eggs and bread and put them on the counter.
