Chapter 2

I was looking out the window of the car as my aunt was driving me to the airport. Everyone I saw looked so happy from people randomly walking down the street to the little kids on the playground. I couldn't help but wonder why?.

" Vanessa are you even listening to me?."

" hmm... yeah of course." I mumbled back

" Vanessa look at me"

I turned around to face my aunt "what?." I snapped

" Vanessa I know this is hard for you but trust me it'll be ok I promise."

" Yeah whatever."

- 20 minutes of awkward silence later-

" Alright were here, now remember your flight is num-"

" yeah yeah yeah I know I'm not a child." I said bitterly as I exited the car I opened the back seat to grab my suit cases. I turned around to see my aunt standing there.

" Ok well it looks like you have everything can I have a hug?."

I awkwardly hugged her and started to walk away when she said " oh yeah I almost forgot your brother is picking you up from the airport!"

" great!" I thought to myself

I went through the security check got my things and waited to bored the plain.

After about 10 minutes my flight was called so I handed the man my ticket and found my seat on the plain. luckily after everyone boreded other was nobody on either side of me.

" That's a plus" I thought

" ladies and gentleman we have a long flight ahead of us so buckle up sit back and enjoy the ride."

I buckled my seat belt and a lady wearing a blue uniform with pearly why teeth and a fake smile plastered on her face that screamed " kill me now" walked down the aisle.

" hello may I get you anything?." she asked

" no thanks." I said as I plopped my ear buds in turned them all the way up and drifted to sleep.
