one – blunt encounters

The night was damp and dark, the little to no street lights did a poor job keeping the road lit up. Barely any cars were on the road, but many people walked by themselves along the sidewalk path – leading them to god knows where.

Ciara Calvine kept her head down, her blonde hair blowing in her face and sticking to her glossy lips. She was dressed for the weather, but that didn't stop her from shivering as she tried to reach her destination, Tap Out Grill.

Her heels tapped rather loudly as she entered the entrance of her work. Leo, the owner, waved at her as she headed into the women's locker room to remove her coat and scarf. As soon as she got in, she was already heading out to her section of tables, ready to get started on her orders.

"I'm late, I'm sorry." Ciara immediately apologizes, as Leo comes up from behind her.

The dark haired boy chuckles, "No worries, you're always here early anyway." Ciara nodded, tying her long hair into a ponytail as she also tried to put on her apron. "I actually wanted to ask you if you could cover Fiona's table tonight, she had to go home early, turns out Ian's sick or something."

   "Yeah, of course!"

"Okay, great." Leo left Ciara's side as she tended to a family of four and an elder couple almost two tables away from them. Ciara carried a tray of apple juice and chocolate milk to the family before booming laughter entered the restaurant.

Ciara peeked out of the corner of her eye, she watched as three white guys strolled to Cassandra who lead them to her section. Ciara studied the three of them, she hadn't seen them before. One was super tall, he had a bit of a beard, and dark brown hair. He was built like a wrestler, complete with the big arms and an incredible toned chest, that she could see through his black sleeved shirt. The other man was shorter than the other two, he wasn't as muscular as them as well. He had a set of sparkly teeth, as he laughed many times. He was completed with lighter brown hair, and bright red sneakers. While the other man was a mix of the two in size and muscle mass. He had blonde hair, and was in some baggy black pants on, along with a gray hoodie. He was also staring at Ciara, checking her out as she handed the family their drinks.

Ciara removed her glance from the men, sending a quick smile to the family and leaving the table.

The blonde girl strided to the table of men, as they watched her every step, almost making her want to turn around. She became uncomfortable under their stares, but instantly recovered when the blonde said something to his friends, immediately removing their sight from her.

"Hi, I'm Ciara, I'll be your server tonight. Did you want to start with drinks?" She greeted warmly, her eyes never leaving the blonde's incredibly blue ones, he only smirked, imtimdating Ciara.

"You can do more than serve me." He mumbled, his friends smirking at his comment as well. Ciara rolled her eyes, hearing many statements like this before. "But, yes, three beers, please."

He teased her, Ciara offered a short smile, as she stepped away from the table and headed to the bar. She could feel eyes staring at her, below the equator, making her more uncomfortable than before.

"Three beers." The girl stated as Leo wiped the table, he nodded as he filled the beer cups with beer from the tap.

"There you go, Ci." The dark haired man placed the beers on her empty tray, she nodded thankfully, as her legs carried her towards the table of men. They didn't notice her approaching, they were too busy laughing over something as Ciara inched closer to them. But before she made it to there table, Cassandra called Ciara over, shoving another group of men in the table in front of the first.
