((It's been centuries since I updated jeez. It's actually been like that with ALL of my books it seems. Anywhere, sorry for the really long wait. Here you are, the next chapter.))
We all spent the day together. Fred and I watched the others collaborate, chatting about our favorite comic books. Every once in a while the others would stop for a break and join our conversation. They say their project will take a couple days, maybe a week. Honestly, I can't wait to see what they're all making. Not even Fred will tell me.
I realized it was dark outside so I checked the clock, it read 9:47. Did they normally work this long? I can't even stay focused on a small doodle on the side of a math test!
"Well, we should call it quits for now. We can work on this tomorrow." Hiro placed his work tools down on a nearby table. Everyone nodded in agreement. Fred stood from the bean bag chair he sat on and stretched.
"Nice to meet ya (Y/N). Hey, we should try to hang out more!"
"Yeeeees! That would be awesome!" I never felt this... wanted? It's such an amazing feeling. I could probably sleep peacefully and not have to wake up feeling anxious anymore. I will be welcomed by a warm feeling and that's a huge upside of this.
I will not lie, it will still take some getting used to. Being able to talk to more than one person and stuff.
After we all shared our goodbyes Hiro and I headed back to the Cafe.
"Your friends are so nice!!" Honey Lemon is such a sweetheart! She's never afraid to compliment someone, and she never jumps to the conclusion that someone's annoying if they did one thing wrong. The people at my school had that problem...
And Wasabi is also really nice too. He always seems willing to help, and you don't have to worry about getting in trouble with him. He's always a good influence. My school was one big blob of peer pressure.
GoGo is so cool, her hair, how she likes to go fast... And she's also like a superhero, if I got into trouble she would probably save me on the spot, no hesitation. Again, the opposite of my school.
And Fred is a lot of fun, very good at keeping conversations. The reason we were talking a lot was because I felt kind of out of place, surrounded by a bunch of smart people. Then again, he's not very smart himself... but he could make an amazing friend.
Now that I think real hard about it, these guys are the exact opposite of my old life. They,re accepting, responsible... kind of... and seem like amazing people.
"Yeah... They are, huh?"
"If I were invited to a group like that back at my old school, no one would even look at me."
"Well it's a good thing you moved here then! Over here you don't have to worry about that my friend. And besides, the people back at your school don't really sound like they're worth it to be honest."
"Hmmm... Yeah, you're right! I don't even know why I even cared what they think!" Why would I even want to feel accepted by people like them?
"Oh yeah, it's night now. The lakes and fountains around here are amazing at night. Wanna go see one?"
"Yeah, sure." I smiled. This was nice. I liked it a lot.
After a few minutes of walking we made it to a large lake with a fountain in the center, all lit up with blue and white lights. It was wonderful.
"So how do you like it in San Fransokyo so far?"
"It's really nice, I love it, but it will take some getting used to." I smiled thoughtfully. It shouldn't take long.
"That's good to hear." We both stared at the fountain for a while and walked home, indulged in a conversation.
((Okay I think I might make an update schedule. Like... Update once every one or two weeks rather than once every 5 months.
If you have any suggestions for this please comment it. I don't want to keep you guys waiting long.))
