"Hey guys," I say as I get to their table. Soft curses from one side are muffled by the video game beeps and sounds coming from the other. They are holding two different coloured Nintendo DS devices, Phil's looks exactly how you think a sun would look like if it barfed rainbows, and Dan's is black with different cat stickers on the front. Phil smiles up at me from across the table while Dan is completely absorbed in his game. Phil opens his mouth to speak but Dan beats him to it.

"Do your turn, come on Phil." He mumbles. I look over his shoulder and find that they are versing each other in a Pokemon game. Phil gestures for me to sit down in the seat next to him, I walk around and Phil glances back down to quickly presses a button.
"What the fu..." Dan starts, but as he glances up to finish his sentence directed at phil, he finally spots me, "Oh, um... Hey, Summer... Haven't seen you in... a while..."

I laugh and Phil joins me, leaving Dan to look quite embarrassed. He slammed the lid of the Nintendo shut and was turning a little pink.
"So how have you guys been? I've been meaning to actually say hi, but I've been a little busy." I say, still a little nervous about actually meeting my past YouTube favourites.

"Actually, I keep wanting to move back home to London," Phil says, "but Dan here says it isn't safe, now with us getting captured and all. Aw come on Dan, stop sulking."
"You beat me eight times in a row all because of your stupid special attack..." Dan sulked, "And Phil's leaving out that we do go back, just not that often. We're actually going back for a few days with some other guys to pick up some old microphone and camera equipment. I mean, we don't upload anymore, since YouTube kinda shut down after what happened to a guy call... You know, nevermind..."

Both Dan and Phil went quiet. I swear, for a moment, the whole canteen went silent, as if everyone knew what Dan was talking about. Yet I had no idea, I do remember something happening to do with some guy, but now it all seems somewhat fuzzy. Chatter started up again, mainly at the table with all the people I saw before, including the girl who 'warned' me.

"You know," Dan started, easing the tension, "You're actually the first fan we've met... I mean, someone who likes us... I mean, your the first super that we've met... You know what I mean. Yes?" I chuckle again.
"Yeah, that's really cool. I. The only fan you've met." I reply, Dan smiles cutely reply from across the table, "So do you guys have any cool powers?"

It was as if Dan and Phil had swapped, as it was Dan who was beaming and Phil who looked embarrassed.
"That's the thing... " Phil says, "I'm not actually a super... I just tag along... Dan's the one with the powers."
"Ooh yes! I'm the one you can control the rain! Whoop whoop!" Dan yells.
"You control the rain? That's awesome!" I reply to Dan, which gains a smirk.
"Alright then special sunshine..." Phil grumbled, "How about a rematch?"
"Yeah of course! Ninth time lucky." Dan teases back, "I'm not falling for your sneak attack again!"

By the time I stood up from the table, the sounds from this side of the table and the curses from the other strongly suggested that Dan had fallen for the seemingly 'secret' attack. Perhaps this was a good time to try to find Jack. As I wave goodbye to them, I hear Dan say, "at least I won't be snatched for my gaming skills," under his breath. This left me with an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach. Perhaps Jack was in his room. I push past the back door leading to the bedrooms. After was seemed like hours I finally make it to my room.

I turn the doorknob and take a peek inside my room. Empty and quiet. Shivers seem to run down my spine, so I decide to leave my door open slightly. Now for Jack's room. My curiosity vanishes as I stand in front of the door. I go to turn the doorknob, but find that it has already been open. I slowly push the door open just enough for me to peak inside. The room is dark, only his bedside light is on. My gut is telling me to leave, but my head convinces me otherwise. I'm just about to take my guts opinion, but I see Jack leaning away from me on the desk in the corner.

"So you promise you'll keep your side of the bargain? Good. You better not be lying to me," he says, all warmth and kindness has left his voice completely. I suddenly let out a breath I didn't realise I was holding. "So no harm will ever come to... I think someone's here." He hangs up the phone and started to turn around. I pull my head out of the clouds and sprint inside my room across the hall. I quickly make it inside before I hear footsteps leading back out towards the canteen. He must have left, I think.

Perhaps I could take a look inside before he comes back. I sneak out and back into his room. Luckily his old phone is still lingering on the table. I sneak over, regretting every step, getting further into what seemed like a dark hollow cave. I finally reach the desk, I pick up the phone. Footsteps grow louder outside the door so I have to be quick. My heart beats faster, but I am only met with confusion. The number he last called was labeled 'Him', and it was the only call this phone has every made. The footsteps are almost right outside.

I quickly chuck the phone back down on the table and rush to the door. I quickly rush out the door, meeting Jack imidiately. He looked completely different than what I had just seen, the cold voice was replaced by the happy and cheerful Irish accent that he usually wore.
"Uh, Summer!" He squeaked awkwardly, "I was just tryin' to find you... Ha ha... Ha..."
"Yeah, me too, oops!" I squeaked back.
"You were in my room." He stated, now with less warmth than before. Me heart was beating so fast, it was a wonder he couldn't hear it.
"Yeah... As I said before, you ran off... And I tried to find you... Hey I met Dan and Phil, do you know them?" I ask, trying to get him off my back.
"Yeah, kinda." He must have fallen for my subject change, "Can I take you out somewhere tomorrow night?"

This certainly caught me off guard.
"Wait... You mean like a date?"
His cheeks start to turn pink.
"Yeah... So... Would you like to... Go on a date...?" Jack asks, already really embarrassed.
"Yeah!" His eyes brighten, "I mean, definitely. Tomorrow night... I'll have to cancel a few things to fit you in."
He starts to chuckle. I follow. How could this guy, whom I actually know nothing about, want to go on a date with me? Maybe this is how he plans to tell me about 'him'. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
