Matter of Expulsion

We headed into the night. All around, one could here the sound of wind howling like anything.

" Bro, where are we going?" I asked.

We were near Magnolia Crescent.

What, was going to happen to Harry? Would he be arrested, or would he simply be outlawed from the wizarding world? I thought of Ron and Hermione, and my heart sank even lower. I was sure that, criminal or not, Ron and Hermione would want to help us now, but they were both abroad, things were looking pretty bad.

There was a little wizard gold in the money bag at the bottom of my trunk, but the rest of the fortune our parents had left us was stored in a vault at Gringotts Wizarding Bank in London. We would never be able to drag his trunk all the way to London. Unless...

I looked down at my wand, which I was still clutching in my hand. If I was already expelled , a bit more magic couldn't hurt. We had the Invisibility Cloak we had inherited from our father -- what if we bewitched the trunks to make them feather-light, tied it to my broomstick, covered ourselves in the cloak, and flew to London? Then we could get the rest of our money out of our vault and... begin our life as an outcast. It was a horrible prospect, but we couldn't sit on this wall forever, or we'd find ourselves trying to explain to Muggle police why we was out in the dead of night with two trunks full of spell books and a broomstick.

But I let go of the idea. No need to make matters worse.

I was feeling a bit uncomfortable with such a furious Harry.

" I don't know Liz. Maybe we could just sit here."

" I am tired. I have got this creepy feeling we are being watched."

We sat down backing a wall in front of the community park.

The tree leaves were rustling with the wind.

I laid my head on Harry's shoulder.

" I am sorry I lost my mind like that Liz. Not only have I got myself into trouble but you are suffering as well." Harry said, downcast.

" I don't know Harry. Whatever Aunt Marge was saying was totally not okay. I despise her for that. But at the same time, you are in loads of trouble. But Harry, we are in this together. Whatever happens, we share it."

" No ways! What if I get expelled from Hogwarts."

" Then so do I."

" Lizzy..."

" Shhh...." I urged him to keep quiet.

He listened hard and his eyes grew with terror.

There was an extremely big, black dog staring at us with its terrifying look directly on us.

"Lumos."Harry muttered.

Light emitted from his wand.

"How could you use more magic?" I scolded.
