One day long ago the candle was invented. It was magnificent in a world filled with unknowns, but there were creatures that hated the light. The valiant warriors of many eras killed what they thought was all of them. But now I'm trailing on... My name is David Jetburgs and I am the writer of this story. This story starts at about 2002 in my house in Ohio.
One day I was walking around my house and forgot to pay my electric bill so the power was off. I searched the house for anything and found 5 Ancient candles, there was 1 red, 2 blue, 1 yellow, and a black one. I lit the Red one which brightened up the entire room and for some reason made the room look like its rotating. I thought to myself that the wax of the candle had chemicals that weren't used today, so I just ignored it. After a while the hallucinations started to give me a really bad headache so I took an aspirin and went to bed.
When I woke up I saw the candle had melted to a stub and the room wasn't rotating anymore. I started to wander around the town for about 4 hours because I needed a job but no one was hiring so I headed back. On the way home I got a bit sick because to the thought of the room rotating, I tried to push the thought to the back of my mind but it didn't really work all that well, and when I got home I was too sick to think about the candles that I had sitting on my coffee table. I went straight to bed and awoke in the middle of the night by a loud thud. "Wha...?" I said half asleep. Then a louder THUD happened and I jumped right out of my bed and very faintly saw a shadow move and then disappear into the wall. I can guarantee that my skin was paler then a ghost. so I ran downstairs and lit a blue candle. For no clear reason I started throwing up uncontrollably. I was throwing up so badly I couldn't even speak and could barely breathe. After a while I stopped, I guess I ran out of stomach contents. I went to bed with the candle next to me.
I woke up and the candle was still burning and I was very hungry. I got up dry heaved for a while then blew the candle out. I was heading to the door when it relit and I tried to blow it out again. Then it relit and I tried to again. This went on for about an hour until I saw what time it was on my battery operated clock. I ran out the door and went on my job search again. Still didn't find a single job. Not a single one. When I went home the candle burned out but was still dripping wax I scrapped the dried wax off my dresser and grabbed the hot candle, then threw them both away when I saw another shadow thingy. I ignored it but didn't forget it at all. but no matter what I tried to do the picture of the shadow was still stuck in my mind. that night I lit the yellow candle and it made the room so bright it was like it was on fire. at first I thought it was cool until the room went up to about 40 degrees Celsius. then I threw it out the window where what it touched spontaneous combusted. "HOLY SHIT" I exclaimed. That scared me horrible but that wasn't the worst part of it. At about 1:37 a.m. I heard a lot of noises and saw stuff on my walls moving. After about a minute they jumped towards me, then away, then towards, and so on so forth. I couldn't sleep at all that night.
The next day I went for another job search but came home early to get some sleep and sleep I did. The next day I started my next job search and ended up getting hired to work at a Home Depot© getting decent wage. When I went home it was very dark out so I lit the other blue candle and started throwing up again uncontrollably. I went to bed and got rid of the candle by throwing it into a tub of water.
When I woke up the next morning I couldn't feel my body at all for about an hour. After I could move again I went to work where I told them I lost all feeling in my body and they laughed at me. At least I wasn't fired though. I went for a week without using the candles and on the last day before I get my electricity turned on I hear a lot of noises so I run down stairs and grab the last candle and before I can lit it, I get grabbed by the shadows and then pass out.
I woke up three days later with a paramedic in front of me. Apparently my house burnt down because of a black ancient candle. Then I told them of the 5 candles and of the shadows I saw and they told me it was the fumes from the candles.
From what I can gather here are the effects of the candles:
Red: Dizziness.
Blue: Nausea.
Yellow: Must of had gunpowder or oil in it.
Black: I do not know.
