Jasper Line, 16 years old, lives with his drunk and abusive dad, in a small rundown flat in the poor parts of Kameentra. An attractive young man, with natural silver hair and glasz eyes, a mix of grey, blue, yellow and green. He stands about 6'0, and has the Soul of a fawn.
"Jasper!" Called his dad, Jim, a big man with big arms, and small legs. "Coming dad!" Jasper comes from upstairs knowing if he was to delay, his father would beat him again. "Yes, father?" Jasper said in a small shaking voice. "Get me a beer." Was all that was muttered from the large man. Jasper walked into the kitchen and opens the fridge to find that, Jim had consumed it all. Walking back in the room, and looking his father in the eyes. "We're out." "Then go get some more! And what did i tell you about looking me in the eyes!" "To not to, sir." "That's what i thought. Now go get me some more ale!" "B-but it's dark." "What are you scared, if you are I can make sure you will never be again." Jim stood up and cracked his knuckles and towers over Jasper. Jasper knew what was coming and he braced himself for pain and clamped his eyes shut. With one quick hit to the ribs, Jasper flies to the ground, winded and struggling to breath, but stands and grabs the flat keys and walks out closing the door behind him. He could here his father chuckle and plop back down into the crease on the couch.
"Jasper?" He turned and saw the only person he actually liked and hoped to see in this hell-hole. Her name is Ms. Emma Louise, a older lady who had probably been very beautiful in her youth, he never did understand why she never married. "Hello, Ms. E." Jasper breathed out heavily. "Oh you poor dear. Did Jim do that to you?" She said with sympathy as the gestured to how he was holding his side. He didn't want to say anything but she already knew, but she saw the help begging in his eyes. "Come in, and I'll fix you up." He didn't want to go in, in fear of his dad finding out and hurting the only caring person he knew. But he was in so much pain he could barely take two steps without having to stop and take a breathe. He would probably be killed trying to get the nearest store. So reluctantly he stumbled into her flat, as he stepped in she closed to heavy, creaking door behind both of them and sliding the chain lock into place.
Ms. Emma Louise leaves and goes into a room in down the hallway. Jasper watches as she disappears after she goes down the hallway, and comes back holding a bandage and gous. "Jasper, I need you to lift your shirt, so I can bandage it up." Jasper slowly lifted his shirt to show red, black, purple and blue bruises lining his left side right below his nipple. "This might hurt a bit." Taking the bandages and carefully, but tightly wrapping his bruised sides. Jasper winced and slightly pulled away from Ms. Emma Louise. "Sorry, Jasper but if I don't do this you'll be Soul Trafficked out there." "I know Ms. Emma Louise." Jasper looked down at the newly bandaged skin, then up at Emma who was smiling sleeply. "Look Emma I thank you for doing this but you look tired let's get you to bed." Nodding her head slightly they both stand from the chairs they were once were sitting at and walking down the hallway. Jasper opened the door to her bedroom and watched as she slowly laid in her bed. Jasper closed the heavy bed room door and winced from both the loud sound of the large door scraping at the floor and his side.
Standing a bit straighter after releasing the time from the old clock hanging in the corner of the room. 11:48 P.M. Jasper sighs as he realises if he doesn't go now then he will be beaten again. So he quietly tiptoes out of the flat and closes the door. Walking to the elevator, to find it is out of order hinting to the caution tape across the front of the entryway. He couldn't remember how long it had been broken, maybe a few years because no one has money to fix it, even with the high rent they he pays each month to have a roof over him and his father's head.
