"Well. This is Awkward." Macie said when me and Ryan continued to stare at each other.
"I'll be right back Kathy."
"Um, Need a hand?" Ryan asked quietly
His voice brought me back to reality, and i realized i was still on the floor and people were staring at me.
He extended his hand and i grabbed it and he pulled me up.
"Thanks"
"No Problem."
And with that he started to walk away.
"Wait. Ryan, can we talk?"
He looked at me and sighed.
"Alright. What do you wanna talk about?"
"Um well i think i should get right to the point i mean because we've been friends for so long and i've always felt i could talk to you about anything and we've drifted apart and i havent been able to do anything about it and well...
"Kathy.. Your rambling."
"Oh, sorry. Ryan i just want you to know that i'm sorry and that i really really miss having you around. If i had known that you felt that way about me i would never have talked to you about Zac. You mean alot to me and i would never want to hurt your feelings but it seems like i have without even realizing.I miss us Ryan. I miss our movie nights and being together in school. I miss everything. You're still my bestfriend Ryan. We've grown up together. I really want us back Ryan. Please give me one chance and i promise i wont ever talk to you about Zac ever again...
"Kathy, You still dont get it do you? I still have feelings for you , they may have lessened over the past few months but they're still here. and Yes i miss you too. I miss having my bestfriend around and i miss everything about us and everything we used to do. but this isnt about Zac, yes it would hurt when you talked about him but if i hang around you, im just going to fall for you even more and i know that you're never gonna feel the same way about me. This is why i've stayed away from you."
"So you're saying you don't even want to try to just be friends?"
"Look, Kathy ive got to go."
"No you don't. you're just avoiding my question."
"I really do have to go.Bye"
"Fine, Bye."
I turned around and held back to the tears.
"I wish this had never happened. I wish you had never fallen for me." i whispered to myself

The next few weeks after that incident went by fast, I avoided Ryan and got involved into my studies, specially chem.
I spent time with my friends but not as much as i used too.
My birthday was in a few days, and i wasnt planning on celebrating this year, it didn't feel right.
"Girlll, What are we doing for your birthday this year?" Macie asked
"Not anything to be honest, i really don't feel like celebrating my birthday this year."
"What? Why not?" Anna asked
"Theres no reason, i just don't want too."
"But, your birthdays are like awsome."
"Kathy,could you come with me? i need to talk to you." Mary Said
I got up, and followed her out of the cafeteria.
"Okay, spill. What's wrong?"
"Nothing, what do you mean?"
"You haven't been yourself lately. You've been so involved in your studies. You havent even been there for any of us. Do you even know that Layla broke up with her boyfriend?"
"What? When? Why didn't she tell me?"
"Like i said you havent been yourself lately."
"I'm sorry. I've just been going through alot with Ryan and I've been spending alot of time on Chem."
"I know, all that is important to you, i get it. You finally have a chance to talk to Zac more and all but we need you too."
"Okay, come on then."
"What? Where are we going?"
I didn't reply and just walked to the cafeteria and sat down on the lunch table.
Mary followed me and sat down and looked at me suspiciously.
'Girls, what do you think about going to the mall after school and coming over to my place for a sleepover."
"That sounds awsome!" All five replied
The bell rang signalling the end of lunch and we all got up to go to class.
Its good to have you back" Mary said while walking away
I smiled and walked towards chemistry, i walked into class and saw that Zac was already there which is weird because ive always been there before him.
"Hey."
"Hey Kathy."
"You're here before me, usually im here before you. how come you're early?"
"I actually wanted to ask you something."
I looked up and i wondered what he was going to ask me.
"Really? Go ahead."
"Well........"
