As I was walking to the dance room in school, I couldn't help but keep thinking about the blue eyed boy. He really surprised me, I haven't spoken to him in the three years here at school and he knew my name, amongst other things.

He spoke to me like we were old friends. I don't know why but around him I didn't feel so lonely anymore.

But I didn't want to think about how good I felt around him because I wasn't sure I'd ever see him again. Odds are I wouldn't. I was going to try, best I could, to just forget.

What's with guys coming into my life and leaving so ubruptly? I was a magnet attracting them wherever I went. Each time pieces of my heart were getting lost in their words, never to be found again.

I opened the door into the locker room and found mine. I changed out of my clothes and put on a black leotard and some tights.

I sat on a little bench and put on my ballet shoes. I wrapped the ribbon around my ankles and made a bow.

I stuffed my bag into the locker and made my way down the hall and into the dance room.

The other girls were there, but there were quite a few missing, i'm guessing because it was the last day. A lot of the sports were already done last week, but my teacher insisted on practicing till the last day. And I was greatful, dancing was my escape.

We worked on basic moves. We danced aorund a bit for fun. We reminisced on good memories we had. I would miss the girls here. When practice was done our teacher handed our reccomendation letters for getting into a dance program at our high schools.

I gladly took mine and looked it over.

"Delilah is a phenominal dancer. Definitely head of the class. I strongly reccomend her into the dance program at your school. She learns very quickly and is passionate about what she does. She doesn't quit and always aspires to be a better dancer."

I looked over at Clarice the dance teacher, she smiled at me knowingly and I smiled back. She walked over to me after talking to the other dancers.

"Thanks so much for writing this." i told her honestly.

"No problem Delilah, you definitely deserve it. You are the best in the class and don't worry, you will make it into the dance program at your school. Which school have you gotten accepted to, by the way?"

"I got into Rivermill High. But they have a really competitive dance team, and I don't think I am going to make it in." i said sadly looking down.

"Trust me, you will, you are amazing." she said, "Don't ever doubt yourself. There is always going to be someone better."

"Thanks Ms.Clarice," i said, "I hope the dance team gets together soon in the summer."

"Oh, I almost forgot, I am close friends with one of the camp leaders at a dancing school and they asked if I knew of any dancers eligible to participate in there summer camp. It's two weeks and with my reccomendation all expenses are paid." she said with a smile.

"Really." i said, "That sounds great!" then I realized something I have to find out before I sign up.

"Is something wrong? can't you go, or do you not want to? I am not forcing you." She said concered.

"It's just that Justin left, so I might be visiting him this summer." i said, "I'll ask my mom which days we are going to make sure it doens't interfere with the camp."

"Alright, yes good idea." she said smiling sadly. Whenever I mentioned Justin everyone gives me a sad face, they all knew how close we were. "But don't take too long. They stop accepting applications July 1st. The auditions I believe are the first Monday of July."

"Alright, thanks so much for the opportunity." I said smiling excitedly.

"No problem, just email me for the reccomendation letter so you don't have to pay!" she said. "You were really an honor to have in the class. For real." she wrapped me in an embrace. Everyone started leaving the dance room because it was time to go.

"Aw thanks so much, but I couldn't have done it without you Ms. Clarice." i said smiling.

"Alright, whenever you need me I am just a call away alright?" she said.

"Okay." i replied, then I remebered, "Ms. Can I ask for a favor now? Can I just stick around a bit in here and dance." I asked hopefully.

"Of course!" she said, "The cleaning team comes around 6 to lock up so you have 2 hours."

"Thank you so much, Bye! Have a good summer." i said.

"You too, darling."

Then she left with her things and walked out with the other dancers.

I plugged in my iphone to the speaker and put on one of my playlists.

I started dancing to the beat of the music. I closed my eyes and let the melody of the song guide me.

Dancing was really my escape.

It felt like hours when my playlist ended. I was physically exhausted, dancing nonstop for an hour and a half.

I open my eyes and head over to the speaker by the door and I jump five feet in the air. I come face to face with the blue eyed boy who I'd been trying to stop thinking about for the last 4 hours.
