I opened the back.

"Are you kidding me?"

"What..?"

"Sit up front, Cas."

Um... okay.

I dragged myself up to sit in the front. And, of course, I was even more awkward than before.

He turned the radio on.

"Pink Floyd or Lynyrd Skynyrd?"

Was I supposed to choose? What was I supposed to choose? He clearly had preference and his voice seemed to favour the first so I decided upon Pink Floyd.

He crammed the cassette into the radio and the car was filled with the music as we rolled out of the driveway and down the road, on to the street. It was subtle and thought provoking, but that's beside the point.

"My address is-" He stopped me by puting his hands up.

He had other plans.

We drove up and stopped on the side of a road which seemed relatively unused.

"Get out."

This... can't be good.

But I listened to him nonetheless.

I got out and he was sitting against his car and looking at the night sky.

I always did that. I loved the stars. I envy them, actually. It's not fair that everything up there is so beautiful and new while down here everything is so ugly and repetitive. This world is ailed. It's like a broken record with how repetitive it is. The war, the violence, the malevolence, the sex, the murder and the hatred among human beings dilutes what this world could equate to.

"Sit up here with me." he said as he pat the hood of his car (which was still warm) and so I sat up with him; my back against the windshield. I tilted my face up to the sky and took in all I could.

"You like the stars, too, huh?"

"Of course." I was smiling now.

And by this time, the music stopped. So he clambered inside to change the tape to the Lynyrd Skynyrd as he said before. This was much more... positive. The songs were fast and upbeat. Honestly, I was enjoying them.

I traced the deep blue night sky with my finger.

"You see that?"

"Yeah." He had his head cocked to try and see where it was.

"That's Cassiopeia."

"You're a constellations guy, too? What don't you have?"

... Not really sure what that meant. I think it was a good thing...?

"Do you know her story?"

"Do tell." He reclined beside me and listened thoroughly. He closed his eyes as I still watched the heavens.

"Cassiopeia was the most beautiful goddess. She sat at her vanity and bragged and boasted to the other goddesses over and over about her looks. The goddesses complained to Zeus multiple times, but he wouldn't hear it. He liked having her there, seeing as she was nice to look at. This continued for quite a while. Zeus' wife complained now. So he approached Cassiopeia and-"

"He threw her up into the sky where she landed upside down and she never could be considered as most beautiful again." He finished my story.

"How did you-...?"

"Know that?

"I'm a stars guy. Why else would I take you here?"

I smiled and shrugged. The song changed. The keyboard with the guitar blending and weaving it's way into the night sky. 'Free Bird'. Lynyrd Skynyrd. I soon later found that was what it was called.

"You like this song?"

"Yeah." I did.

He leaned over to me.

My eyes probably doubled in size when he had kissed me. I was not ready for that. How could someone be that confident? My face went dark red across my cheeks, my ears and my nose. I sat there as he did so. I closed my eyes and eased my tension. He had his face sideways as he caressed my face by the jawline.

I had never been kissed before.

But that... That was fantastic.
