Vernon finally let us out. We all were walking down the hall. Brian and I were holding hands, so was Allison and Andy.  Bender's arm was around Claire.  We saw Carl on the way out sweeping. Brian nodded at him.

  "See ya Brian," he said.

  "Hey Carl," Brian said back.

"See you next Saturday," Bender said to the janitor.

"You bet!" Once we exited the building, Brian and I walk to his dad's car. He kissed my cheek and opened the door.

"See ya Monday Mel," he said.

"See ya cutie." I kissed him quickly, waved to his dad, and walked away. I looked at everyone else. Andrew and Allison kissed, then Allison ripped the patch off Andrew's jacket and got into her car. When Andrew's dad arrived, he looked at his son, then at Allison.  Andrew got into the car and they drove off. Claire took out one of her diamond earrings and put it into Bender's hand. They kissed and she got into her car. Wish I could see her dad's face about that. Bender put the earring in his ear and walked away waving good-bye to me. I smiled and waved back.  I then knew that on Monday, our lives will change, and it's the best feeling ever.  My mom drove up to me and I got into the car.

"How was detention?" she asked me. I looked out the window and smiled.

"It was alright I guess." Which means I made friends and memories I will never forget.

Third Person P.O.V.

Vernon picked up Brian's essay and began to read it.

  "Dear Mr. Vernon,

We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. But we think you're crazy to make an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us. In the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But, what we found out is that each one of us is a brain, and an athlete, and a basket case, a princess, a musician, and a criminal," each person wrote what the are to the world, "Does that answer your question?"

Sincerely yours,

The Breakfast Club

Bender walked home. In the process, he thrusted his fist in the air, as if to cheer to an amazing thing that just happen, and to all the 6 teens, something amazing did happen.
