Chapter 2

As we arrived to school I could already see the buses and cars pull in and out of the parking lot of the school.
After Tyler parked the car and turned it off we both got out the car. I shut my door as I shouldered my back pack.
I turned to Tyler, who was already walking towards the busy school.
"Tyler. I'll see you at lunch right?" I asked, Tyler nodded in response.
Once we were both inside of the school he placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Bye Emily, see you later. Don't fail anything!" He said the last part as he walked away.
I rolled my eyes and started to walk to my home room.
As I sat down in my seat I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned around to face the one guy I honestly did not want to face. Ethan Dolan.
We hooked up last year after Matthew went away. I don't know, I guess I turned to dating to get my mind cleared. But it was a bad decision.
He was practically obsessed with me. He won't leave me alone even if I were to get up and punch him in the gut,(which I've don't before actually).
Ethan just stood there and stared at me with some stupid smirk on his face.
"What do you want Ethan?" I asked, slightly annoyed at what he was doing.
"Nothen'...just checking you out" he said, pulling his bottom lip in between his teeth.
I scoffed and stood up, grabbing my stuff and walking to the teacher.
"Miss Thompson? May I please go to the um...bathroom?" I made up an excuse to leave the room. Mainly to get away from Ethan.
Miss Thompson nodded and smiled
"sure Emily, go ahead" she said

Last period of the day. Emily is in advanced literature

I walked into class, happy that this was my last class of the day. I sat down at my desk and took a book out of my back pack. As I read, people started to walk in one by one.
"Okay class...I know it's the last class of the day but There's a new student here" miss Jackson told the class. I still had my nose in my book. I'd just meet them later.
"Why don't you tell the class your name" the teacher said, obviously smiling.

"My name is Matthew Espinosa"
