Chapter 5 (a failed attempt)

Dawn of the Vampire

Shadow POV

As I called Tails I realised that I'd done something extremely stupid.... I forgot to memorise where he lived. All I know is that he lives in a mansion somewhere. I facepalmed myself and Tails picked up.

Tails-italics Shadow-Bold

'Hello?'

'Tails it's me.'

'Hi Shadow, what are you doing calling at 4 fucking am?'

I expected Tails to me mad at me for calling at 4 but I didn't expect him to cuss to prove his point.

'I found out something about Sonic.'

'No you haven't. He's been gone for two months and I'm starting to believe he's dead. Unless you can give me solid proof that he's alive, I'm not going to believe a word you say jackass.'

I flinched, Tails defiantly hadn't had his morning coffee.

'Tails, just hear me out. What if I told you that Eggman was behind what happened two months ago and he is missing because of what he did.'

I prayed to Chaos that he'd listen.

'Go on.'

I sighed with relief.

'What if I told you that Eggman killed Sonic but brought him back to life at the same time.'

'Now I know your feeding me bullshit. That isn't possible. Once someone dies, they are dead. Gone. Six feet under. Call me when you get some actual proof and bring it to my lab. Oh by the way, fuck you. I'm not going to be able to concentrate today. So fuck you and get some sleep jackass.'

Tails hung up on me without giving me a chance to explain more. What surprised me more was that he swore. I facepalmed again and ended up running around for a bigass dead mansion. I found five, I entered four of them and they were all empty. By the time I came to the fifth it was Dawn. I walked up onto the shades porch and knocked on the door. I then noticed a heavily draped window.

Sonic POV

Just as I started to drift into my un-dead sleep or deathlike trance I called sleep, I heard a knock on the door downstairs. I melted into the shadows, so I know that I won't get burned by the light. As I made my way downstairs, I appeared behind my visitor on the porch. As I cam out of the shadows, it took me by surprise that Shadow was there. I knew that he followed me before but I didn't care, I had more things to worry about. I covered his eyes with my hands and he yelped in surprise. I dragged him down into the shadows with me and we re-materialised in my bedroom where darkness was dominate. I removed my hands and moved in front of him, creating a small ball of light that wouldn't harm me.

'What are you doing here.' I said coldly. I felt the familiar feeling of my fangs sliding out of my gums.

'Sonic.' He said. I heard the voice in my head.

He's here to kill you. Why not kill him first? It went. I growled in my mind and ignored it, focusing my attention on the figure in front of me.

'Tell me what your doing here before you won't be able to speak at all.' I snapped, barring my fangs. He gulped nervously. In my mind I laughed, I never thought I'd see Shadow The Hedgehog, Ultimate Life Form scared and at a loss for words.

'I came to bring you back.' He said, starting to get his confidence back.

'No.' He looked taken aback. He was expecting me to come back willingly, with the busting urge to see my friends.
