Chapter Seven

I woke up on the floor the next morning. My body ached all over, and I winced as I sat up. It hurt to breathe and I couldn't move my leg. "Fuck, fuck fuck!" I muttered over and over again tears spilling from my eyes. I began to drag myself across the floor to look for my pants. "Where are they?" I thought.

"Looking for these?" Josh asked standing before me, and I jumped causing me to moan in pain. I hadn't even noticed him.

Glaring up at him I decided not to respond.

Suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my ribs. He kicked me. "What did I tell you about not answering me" he seethed menacingly.

I whimpered, and he smirked at me.

"Now, were you looking for these?"

I nodded fast. 'Oh God get me out of here please.' I thought.

"Good girl." He said throwing my jeans at me. "Go get cleaned up and get out." He looked at me in utter disgust then left the room.

Doing the best I could with a possibly broken leg I got my jeans on and hobbled out the door. I stumbled about a block away from his house, before pulling out my phone to call Destiny.

"What happened?" She said as soon as she picked up.

"Please come get me. I'm at Josh's." I croaked.

I barely got out the word Josh before she hung up.

Ten minutes later and she pulled up.

"What did that dumb fucker do to you? I swear to god Remy I will kill him!" Destiny ranted as she helped me into the car.

I cringed when she placed me in the seat but did my best to ignore it.

Destiny came back over to her side and just stared at me.

"You look horrible! I know he did this to you Remy but I don't understand why you let him treat you like this."

I sighed. Here we go again. "Can we please just not talk about it, not now. I just want to go home."

Des looked at me like I was crazy.

"No can do. We're going straight to the hospital first to make sure you and the baby are okay."

I nodded my head and just like that my world went black.
