* I just wanted to say thank you all so much for the continuous support that y'all have for my story. It means so much to me! Anyways, I hope you enjoy is chapter and sorry for any mistakes. Xo*

"Hello?"

"Hey baby, where are you?" I swallowed back vomit. I wasn't his baby.

"At the doctors. I have an appointment, remember?"

"Oh yeah, I'm on my way. See you in a minute." There was shuffling in the background before the line went dead.

I nodded despite the fact that he already hung up, and put my phone away.

"How you holding up with everything?" Destiny asked, giving me a sympathetic look.

"Okay." I said. Right now wasn't the time to have this conversation. As a matter of fact I never wanted to discuss what happened ever again.

"Remy, Ms. Lawrence will see you now." Deena said.

Gathering my things I got up and started towards the back room with Destiny right behind me.

"Good morning!" Doctor Lawrence said, smiling when she saw me.

"Hi." I tried my best to give her a smile back, and I think it worked because she continued to speak.

"So how's everything?"

"Good." My answers remained clipped and cold as I maneuvered myself onto the bed.

"Are you eating healthy? Any morning sickness? Feeling overly tired?"

"Yes, yes, and yes." I yawned as if on cue.

"Okay, so today we're going to be listening to the baby's heart beat. Are you excited?"

"Yes." I beamed, but of course it was fake. I wasn't excited at all to be having a baby at just eighteen.

"Well then, lets get started."

Just as she started to lift my shirt up, there was a knock on the door.

"I'll get it." Destiny said.

She groaned loudly when she saw who it was, and took a step back.

"I'm sorry, only family aloud." Jennifer said. "It's the rule."

"If that's the rule why is she in here?" Josh sneered. "And for your information I'm the father."

I remained quiet. I wish Josh didn't come. I wish he would've stayed away from me when I asked him to. He ruined everything.

"You don't act like a soon to be father, and I'm here because I can be." Destiny snapped back with just as much attitude.

"My apologies sir." Jennifer said, sitting down.

"Don't worry about it. Now can you leave? I don't recall you being family." Josh said, turning back to Destiny with disgust.

"Kiss my ass Josh." Destiny huffed.

"He does have a point ms. Only family allowed."

"Can she stay? Please?" I began to beg. I needed Destiny by my side. I wasn't strong enough without her.

"I'm sorry Remy. Rules are rules." Jennifer said lifting up my shirt.

"It's okay Rems, text me when you're done."

Destiny stood up and left, shoving past Josh as she did so.

"Now! Let's begin"

Josh walked over to me and grabbed my hand. It took everything in me not to shake him off, and I mean everything.

"Okay first we're gonna start with the usual sonogram." Jennifer smiled, while she moved the wand all over my stomach.

And there it was. My baby. Our baby. He or she were so small. I sniffled as tears rolled down my face.

"We made that." Josh said, sounding almost proud.

"And now, if you listen carefully, you can hear the heartbeat."

All was quiet as we waited, and then we heard it.

'Bum bum. Bum bum. Bum bum.'

"Wow." We all stood there, amazed.

I sat there as tears continued to slide down my face. I was feeling so many emotions at once. Happiness, regret, and hate, not only towards Josh but towards myself as well.

"We're done!" Jennifer beamed. "I'll just print out these pictures and be right back.

I nodded. I didn't trust my voice enough to speak.

"Why are you crying?" Josh asked, wiping the tears away.

I sat there. I didn't talk. I don't know if it was because I didn't want to, or if it was because I couldn't. Or maybe it was a little bit of both.

"Answer me dammit!" Josh shouted, his fist clenching.

I tried my best to scoot as far away from him as I could, but the bed was tiny. I curled up into a ball, afraid of what he would do next, but thankfully Jennifer walked in just in time.

I immediately sat up. I'd hate for her to ask unnecessary questions.

"Okay so here's your pictures, and here's a bear." She handed them to me, the smile never leaving her face.

"If you press the paw you can hear your baby's heart beat" she explained, obviously seeing the confusion written all over my face.

"Oh. Thanks." I smiled, genuinely now, and got up.

After getting myself together, I practically ran out of the building, and to my surprise Destiny's car was still in the parking lot. I was just about to run up to it, when someone grabbed my arm.

"Where do you think you're going?" Josh said, his eyes burning. "We have some unfinished business to take care of."

I gulped, trying not to look into his eyes.

"Let go of her asshole!" Destiny appeared out of nowhere.

"Why would I do that Rodriguez?"

"Because you're not wanted here, and you're hurting her!"

"Destiny, please. Go. Everything's fine, I promise." I pleaded. I knew Destiny's heart was in the right place, but I was too tired to listen to their bickering.

She looked at me, suspicion evident on her face.

"Puta!" She spat at Josh before turning on her heels and leaving.

After she pulled off, Josh began to drag me to his car. He threw me in the passenger's seat and then went to his side.

"Call your mom. Tell her you're staying over at my place and you'll see her tomorrow." Josh said, pulling out of the parking spot.

Like the obedient dog that I was I did as I was told.

"Hey mom."

"Hi sweetie how was the appointment?"

"It was good."

"Are you on your way back? Do you want me to make you lunch?" My mother rushed into the phone. I could tell she was excited.

"That sounds great, but I'm actually going over to Josh's house." I bit my lip.

"Okay, just don't be out too late. I love you. Be safe." She said and hung up.

I laughed at her last words. 'Be safe..' I was never safe when around Josh, and I have hospital records of all types of injuries to prove it.
