"It's okay, everything is going to be just fine. I have my old friends its just a new school. At least I have my books to keep me grounded." These are the things that Ella thought as her mom drove her to her first day at Ardelle High. They puttered down the road in their 1969 Volkswagen Bug. Ella had her head in a book as normal. The Family listened to the 80's hits radio(Ella's favorite station) and the dog barking in the back seat. Ella's little brother Parish was hugging their dog snoopy so tight that it looked like Snoopy's eyes would pop out if he wasn't careful. Ella's mom Leona was singing along theatrically to the music. The car pulled to a abrupt stop. " Here we are, you excited Ella". Slowly Ella closed her book and responded to her mom. " I don't know what to feel, I guess excitement is a good choice". "THAT'S MY GIRL."Leona said quite excited for her daughter. Ella stepped out of the car in her black skirt and navy blue long sleeve shirt. Her hair was dark brown and curly but today she decided to put it up in a messy bun, it would have been a nice bun if she knew how to make it pretty. Ella kept her head down as she fast walked toward the door. She accidentally ran into someone,although they both said sorry and meant it Ella still felt uncomfortable. Ella knew and accepted that she was bigger than other girls ,but whenever she knew that someone knew it just didn't feel right. She finally reached the door after what felt like an eternity. Ella pulled the door handle open and felt the cool air hit her face. As she walked in the door she didn't know what to expect, only to hope for the best.
