I'm updating guys, aren't you proud of me 😂
Before we get stared here, I'd like to say that I've been having trouble with this book and Little Things because they aren't exactly my style of writing, but you guys actually like the books, so I'm gonna spend extra time thinking of a plot that isn't all action and horror etc.
unless that's what y'all want, cuz I got you XD
But yeah I

"So, how you enjoying Chipotle, Lachlan?" Preston joked. He muttered something in response but no one could really understand because his mouth was full of a bean burrito bowl. Jaz rolled her eyes and nudged him. I finished my cheese quesadilla, and everyone else finished up their food, and we sat and talked for a good hour, catching up and learning things about each other.
My phone buzzed and I backed out of the conversation to look at my phone.
A text from Jazz lit up my screen:
Preston's been starring at you this whole time I swear!
I looked up and then texted back:
yeah but have you seen Lachlan??? he's definitely into you !
She responded almost immediately:
Yes but he's been starring at you this whole time !! it's so cute !
I rolled my eyes and joined back into the conversation, which lasted for about 10 more minutes until we were asked to leave because we were here for what seemed like ever.
Once we got back to the hotel, everyone split up to their rooms except Jaz, Lachlan, Preston and I.
Lachlan headed for the stairs from our spot in the game room complaining about his stomach hurting from Chipotle, and eventually Jaz went upstairs mumbling about needing a shower, leaving just Preston and I.
"Today was the most fun I've had in a while." He announced with a smile as we tried for the fifth time to get a turtle stuffed animal out of a claw machine.
"Me too," I smiled, "and to top it off I vow to get this freaking turtle out of here."
He laughed and grabbed the claw controller, "I got this."
I rolled my eyes and smiled, moving out of the way, and after 10 more tries he did eventually get it, and gave it to me. "Hey, it's only nine." He said, looking at his watch, "Hot tub?"
I laughed, "Of course! Meet me in 10."

I met him at the hot tub like we had agreed, and we relaxed for a while just talking and laughing.
"So I guess I never really asked, but, where are 'ya from? Anywhere around here?"
I sighed, "Actually, I live half-way across the country in Maryland."
He didn't speak for a second,
"Oh." he finally muttered, with a sigh and a disappointed look.
"It's not too far by plane!" He piped up.
I shook my head, "Preston, that's too much money, I don't think is worth it."
He looked at me as if I was insane, "I do! I don't know if I've made it obvious enough but I think you're perfect! I think you're amazing! And I'm super grateful I ran into you in the hallway! I like you a lot, and I don't care what the cost is, but I'd pay anything to see you, Lilly!"
I sat, shocked. I didn't know what to say, to be honest.
"I.. I don't really know how to respond to that." I responded quietly, looking down at the bubbling water.
"I- sorry." He whispered, jumping out of the hot tub and grabbing his towel.
"Wait, Preston!" I called after him as he headed for the door.
He didn't turn, he just kept walking.
I sighed, standing in the room alone, no one else was down here.
I grabbed my towel and dried off, making my way back upstairs and into my room, quietly changing into a tank top and some sweatpants, determined not to wake up Jaz.
I decided to go to the little porch in front of the hotel, and bring my laptop with me.
I typed away, plugging in my headphones, and watching YouTube, or whatever I could find.
My phone dinged and I quickly looked down to see a message from Preston.
Preston :)- hey, I'm sorry about earlier, I got nervous once I said what I did.
I didn't mean to leave you like that, what I said was true.
all of it.
I would like to get to know you better, Lilly. I hope I didn't upset you or anything..

I smiled down at my phone And quickly texted back:

you didn't upset me! I get it , it happens to the best of us XD I'm on the porch in front of the hotel, if you wanna come sit :)

Within minutes Preston was down here, in a gym t-shirt and some sweat pants as well.
I shut my lap top and patted the seat on the bench next to me, smiling. He gladly took a seat.
I put my head on his shoulder, staring off into space.
"When are you leaving to go back home?" He finally asked, breaking the silence.
"Monday morning." I answered quietly, realizing that I did in fact have to leave in less than two days.
"You think you could stay longer? You and Jaz even could stay with me. I mean Lachlan is too." He offered.
I thought about it, that would be pretty awesome.
"I'll talk to Jaz, even though she'll probably say yes anyway." I retorted with a laugh.
He shook his head and smiled, looking down at me.
I looked up at him with a smile as well, and we both leaned in closer.
