Chapter 1: The runaway

I've been running so long and I can still hear the killer behind me. Suddenly a tall man dressed in black came into my view, a smaller boy stood next to them. I ran behind the boy and grabbed his shirt. "Don't let him find me, please." I whispered into the boys ear. He nodded lightly and the tall man bent down and pretended to tie the boys shoes

I heard the killer running towards us and my grip tightened on him. I ducked my head and held my breath. I heard the killer stop in front of the boy and the man "You haven't seen a girl run past have you?" The boy said "I haven't, have you Sebastian?" I looked up and saw the tall man bow "No my lord." He said with a deep voice

My eyes widened 'This Ciel is a nobleman!' I thought. The killer sniffed and walked past us. But not without looking me in the eye. I gasped as the killer shot toward me and tore me away from Ciel.

I tried screaming but the killer clamped my mouth shut with his hand. Suddenly I felt something cold press into my neck. It was a gun! I whimpered and looked at Ciel.

Ciel looked at Sebastian and barked "How long are you going to stand there? Save her!" I saw Sebastian grin and say "Right away my lord."

With blinding speed Sebastian was standing in front if us "I would advise to let her go, unless you wish to be harmed." Sebastian said to the killer

"W-what the hell?!" The killer shouted. With him caught off guard I hit him in the stomach. Which caused him to let go of me . I dropped to the ground, gasping for breath. I heard footsteps in front of me and I looked up.

Ciel offered a hand and helped me up. "Beg my pardon." Ciel said and he gripped my face between his hands. I felt my eyes widened in confusion.

"Trust me m'lady, it's best if you don't see." Ciel said. Suddenly I heard the killer screaming, and I heard blood splatter. I gasped and put my hands over my ears.

I felt Ciel's hands slip from my face and I opened my eyes. He looked at me with sympathy is his eyes and said "Don't worry it's over."

I stared into Ciel's eyes, noticing he had an eyepatch covering his left eye. As I let the events of that evening sink in, I felt my eyes grow moist. My lip started to tremble and I gripped Ciel's arms.

I sniffed, and started crying. I threw my arms around his neck and hugged him. He tensed at first, but I felt him loosen and he wrapped his arms around my waist.

I heard footsteps, and then felt a firm hand on my shoulder. I stiffened and a whimper escaped my lips. Ciel looked over my shoulder and slowly pushed the hand away.

"She's scared Sebastian. She was obviously 'hurt' by men your age." Ciel said. I let go of Ciel and turned around, only to see Sebastian kneeling in front of me.

"I am truly sorry m"lady." Sebastian said. He got up and said "Say, what's your name?" I looked down and said "My name is Rose
