Black Butler Chapter 9: Settling in

It was a long night, but eventually it was morning. I watched Finny stir and slowly get up. I watched him stretch and yawn.

Then I saw Grell and Sebastian get up as well. Sebastian walked over to me and picked up Ciel, so I could get up.

Still holding Black Raven, I stretched my sore muscles. Black Raven woke up and let out a huge yawn.

"Well. You guys try and fix this dump up. Me and Black Raven are going out to buy some food" I said.

I watched Sebastian grab a stick and tie dry straw to the bottom of it, creating a broom.

I grinned and I walked out the door. Not to far away there was a small city, so we walked there. I shifted the way I was holding Black Raven and made myself look like a child.

I shifted my hair to cover my blue eye, and took smaller steps so people would think I'm a child.

Walking into the city I saw a market and I skipped to it, giggling to myself. Thankfully I had American dollars.

I walked into the market and looked around. The place was filled with happy people. Frowning I didn't know what to buy.

I looked around at all the foods. I tightened my grasp on Black Raven and he looked at me in question. I whispered low so only he could hear

"Um. What are we going to get?"

He meowed and laid his head back down without answering. I rolled my eyes and looked around "I guess just fruit would be all right for today, until we have a fridge."

Walking to the fruit stand I said "Two of everything!" The man leaned over and looked at me. I rocked back on my heels and flashes him a smile.

He frowned and in a bag gave me two of everything. "How much does this cost?" I said in a little girls voice.

He grinned and said in a deep voice "Ten bucks" I narrowed my eyes 'This bastard thinks I don't have the money' I thought. I counted out ten dollars and passed it to him.

He stared at me in disbelief and I skipped back to the others. Once I was out of sight I flipped my hair back and took longer strides sighing I said in my normal voice "Man."

I could tell they did good work.

The steps were fixed, so was the porch. I looked up and finally noticed that the house was two story. They had fixed all the windows and the doors.

I walked in and it looked like a normal house. They had already gotten couches, chairs, etc in the living room. I walked into the dining and saw that there was a table and chairs that matched.

I walked into the kitchen and saw they put in a fridge, stove, dishwasher, dishes, forks, knifes, spoons, etc.

I looked at Black Raven and he was already looking with me in awe at the good job they had done. And we weren't even gone long!

I heard footsteps on the stairs leading upstairs and I saw everyone. Finny grabbed the food from me and started putting it in the fridge.

Although the house looked small, it was rather big. Grell led me up the steps and showed me my room. It was at the end of the hall, across from Ciel. I went in my room and closed the door.

Black Raven jumped from my arms and onto my bed. It was sort of dark, so I threw open the curtains. And I looked around. There was a big wardrobe that was white and red. I looked at the queen sized bed and it also was white and red.

At the foot of my bed was a matching cats bed. I grabbed Black Raven and he looked at me sadly. I tucked him under my arm and leaned over to grab the bed.

I put the cat bed at the head of the bed and set Black Raven down. Sighing I laid down next to Black Raven.

I intertwined my fingers behind my head and stared at the ceiling. I heard a light knock and I said "It's open."

I looked at the door and saw Finny come in quickly and closed the door. He was panting and I swung my legs over the bed. I went up to Finny and rested my hands on his forearms.

"What's wrong Finny?" I said. He panted and gasped "Grell! Up...to...dirty....tricks." I shook my head and sighed.

We both jumped when we heard heavy footsteps in the hall. I even heard Black Raven look up. I grabbed Finny's hand and we backed up.

Still gripping his hand we quietly climbed into my bed and huddle into the corner that was next to the wall.

I grabbed Black Raven and buried my face into his fur. The footsteps got louder and I leaned back into Finny. I felt myself lightly trembling and I closed my eyes.

I wasn't scared. I was having a flash back.

~~~~~~Flash Back~~~~~~

"Stephan, meet your new little sister. Her name is Rose." I cooed and looked at my big brother.

He giggled and hugged me "I promise I'll always protect you."

/Few hours later\ "Mama!? Help me!" Screamed Stephan. The day I was born I met my brother. That was the day he was murdered.

I've been having alot of flash backs, so I'm used to the lack of air when I come back to the real world.

Gripping my chest I looked at my door, and there stood Grell in fishnets. He looked at me and started posing.

I grabbed Black Raven and threw him at Grell's face. Black Raven howled and brought out his claws on Grell's face.

He grabbed my cat and threw him against the wall really hard and he didn't move. My eyes widened and I got up, furious. "Finny. Open the window." I growled. He opened the window carefully and I grabbed Grell by his ear. "Ow ow ow ow!" Grell screamed.

I slapped him and being careful not to step on Black Raven, threw him out the window "You dick!" I shouted. I slammed the window shut and picked up Black Raven. His breathing was ragged and I set him on the bed.

Passing him some of my energy again, he healed. He looked at me with narrowed eyes like he was saying 'Want to die? Do that again.'

I held up my arms and laughed nervously. I heard someone knock on my door and Black Raven jumped in my arms. "Yes?" I said. I nodded to Finny and he opened the door.

Sebastian stood there. He bowed and said "May I speak with you in private sister." I nodded and Finny left, closing the door.

Sebastian sighed and said.......

In case you wondering, yes apparently Rose and Sebastian have a older brother, but he was killed when Rose was born, so Sebastian never got to meet him.
