"Cedric!" Holland yelled as she shook the currently unconscious Cedric.
Jacob crawled over to them, "let me try..." he said as he winced. He raised his hand and with all his strength quickly brought it down and slapped Cedric.
On contact his eyes opened and he struggled to get to his feet. An immense pain shot up the side of his body. He raised his shirt and saw a that the beast had bitten him.
"Well that can't be good" Cedric said as he laughed.
They carried him upstairs and sat him down on the couch.
"What the hell happened?!" Dylan asked as he panicked.
"Something bit me...Something big" Cedric said as the words struggled to emerge from his mouth.
"You must've tasted over cooked." Jacob said as he tried to lighten the mood.
"Yeahh... you must've been to fruity..." Cedric said as he fired back.
Jacob laughed,"well now we know he's okay...ish."
Holland felt strange for some reason, aside from the fact her boyfriend was bleeding out in front of her. Yet, they all felt a little off. "We should get you to the hospital." Holland said as she helped him up.
They carried Cedric to the hospital, as he limped in agonizing pain they bumped into an ederly man.
"Watch where you going asswhole!"Dylan yelled.
The man looked back, he was blind.
"You insensitive dick wipe, he's blind" Holland whispered.
The old man chuckled, "No man is without vision..." he muttered as he walked away.
The group ran inside and hollered for any help whatsoever. Cedric felt a small pain in his side. As he winced in pain Holland lifted up his shirt to check the wound but...
"What..... it's gone." Holland said both frightened and astonished.
It healed.
"Good. Let's get the hell out of here I hate doctors." Cedric said as he rose to his feet.
They fled the hospital hoping to avoid contact and as they were walking through the woods Dylan stopped."Wait!" He whispered. "Does anyone else here that? It sounds like... howling?" Everyone fell into confusion, except Jacob. It appeared that he heard it too as you can see a worried expression on his face.
"Jake.... what's wrong?" Cedric asked as he tried to calm the terrified expression on his friends face.
Suddenly a group of beasts started to surround them. Enormous and Ferocious Animals with bodies filled with fur and eyes of a cold blue.
"Werewolves..." Jacob muttered.
Everyone looked back at Jacob and then at the animals. "You're joking right." Cedric said as he pulled out two ring daggers from his wasteband. "Holland get behind me." He said assertively, while he tried to put a brave face on, he was horrified right now. One of the creatures walked toward Cedric calmly, his eyes glowed a firey red. He sniffed and growled toward him. The werewolf shifted back into its human form to reveal a blind ederly man, the same as before. "You all are something else aren't you?" He muttered cynically."You... who bit you? What pack are you from?" He asked Cedric.
"What the hell are you talking about!" Cedric yelled.
"You're alpha should know better to intrude on another's territory." The elderly man said calmly.
"Werewolves, much like regular wolves, travel in packs. People like him are called Alphas. Better known as the leader of the pack." Jacob explained.
"And how exactly do you know this?" Cedric asked as he questioned Jacob.
"Because he's a vampire..." the elderly man responded. Everyone's attention shifted to Jacob. His eyes glowed and his fangs enlarged. " My name is James, You're a new born, Join me Cedric. Join the pack. We can give you a home." He said trying to convince him.
"I have a home." He replied as Holland clenched his arm.
James laughed, " So be it. you'll come around ...Kill the vampire."
"NO!" Cedric yelled as he jumped in front of Jacob. His eyes glowing a crimson red and claws and fangs emerging.
James' pack retreated backwards, and he stepped toward Cedric and Jacob. "An alpha..." he muttered as his eyes glowed. "As new as you are.... that's not possible. The only way that can happen is if-"
Before he could finish the ground started to tremble once more as a roar echoed through the woods as if it bounced of the trees.
"LA BETE!" James yelled. "RUN!"
As James and his pack fled, so did the others. They'd ran all the way back to the cabin. And locked the door.
Coughing and out of breath Cedric began to yell. "What the hell just happened?!" His eyes still glowing and his fangs still out he was beginning to lose control of the shift.
"I wouldn't do that If I was you." A voice cried out from the end of the hall.
"Who's there?" Holland asked.
A woman walked out from the shadows in the hallway. "My name is Anne . I'm a witch. I'm also the only one who can tell you what's happening to you... all of you."
Cedric regained control and the group sat down. "How?" He asked in suspicion.
She pulled out a stack of tarot cards, "With these."
Cedric walked over to here and looked her in the eyes, "Why should we trust you?"
She grabbed his hand and felt his palm, "Because you set me free , you saved my life, now I'm in charge of saving all of yours."
They sat at a long table directly across from Anne. Anne laid a stack of tarot cards in front of each of them. "Each of you hold out your hand." Anne requested. She then pulled a blade out and cut along all of their lifelines. As the blood dripped off the cards it flowed toward Anne and created a symbol.
Cedric looked over to jacob. "So Vampire huh?"
"So werewolf huh? The whole mortal enemy thing..." Jacob replied.
"It's entirely to coincidental... so how did it happen?" Cedric asked.
