Next Morning.

I woke up to my phone ringing. It was Alex. I smiled as I answered the phone with the memory of last night in mind.

"Good morning Queen."
"Hey good morning luv."
"Wassup what you doing today?" He asked.
"Today is my boy Luis Arroyo memorial, he was murdered a year ago. So I want to go visit his grave." I replied.
"That's crazy luv, I'm sorry for your lost. How about you get yourself together and I'll go down there with you. We can go grab some grub after. Koo?" he asked.
"Sounds great, hit me when you're outside," I said as i stood up off my bed.

An hour later, Alex pulls up in his Benz with his music loud as hell.
He got out of his car, as I walked towards the car and opened the door for me. Our ride to the cemetery was silent. I didn't notice as I was reminiscing on the times I spent with Lu alive until Alex asked "Are you ok?"
"Yes," I said snapping out of the daze.
"I just have a bad feeling, like something bad is going to happen. I can't explain it but time will reveal it but I'm fine."
"Nothing bad is going to happen Avalise, you just lost some one close to you it hurts but time heals."
I looked up at him and smiled, "thanks for your support i appreciate it." I gave him a hug and walked towards Luis tombstone.

"Imy Lu. You don't know how much you truly meant to me. You were like a brother to me. You protected me and I couldn't do the same for you. I wish I could trade places just to take the pain away from your mother. It breaks me to know you were a good young soul who didn't even get to live. I remember your 21st bday I was telling you to turn up let's hit the club and you didn't have an ID you were upset about that. Oh and the party bus remember that? You were shit faced white boy wasted! Ugh I wish you would come back your family isn't the same. I hope your soul is at peace. I love you."

I dried the tears off my face, put the flowers down and walked back to the car. As soon as I got into the car I received a call from the hospital.

"Hello is this Avalise?"
"Yes this is her may i ask who am I speaking to?"
"This is Dr.Lee calling from Beth Israel's ICU. Your mother is here, ma'am can you make it as soon as possible?"

I dropped my phone, tears began rolling down my face I couldn't move. I couldn't think straight.
Alex looked over at me puzzled and asked "babygirl you good?"
I looked over at him and said "My mom is in the ICU at Beth Israel."
Alex drove off speeding. When we got to the hospital, Alex pulled into the garage and parked. I was a mess but I was glad to have someone's support. Alex grabbed my hand as we entered the hospital and walked towards the elevators.
When we arrived at the ICU i asked for my mother. The nurse looked at me with a sad face and said "Room 777." As we rushed towards her room Alex hugged me and said "ill wait out here luv." I walked in her room slowly. I seen tubes and machines. She was pale. I thought i was going to lose it, my mom, not my mom!

"Mami what's wrong?"
Avalise you know i love you and always will. I will always be with you mi Diosa Bella but I'm tired mama and they can't help me no more."
"Don't say that ma! I need you here with me. Don't go please"
She looked so weak I really hate seeing her like that.

"I love you mom, I will always love you" I said as I hugged her and kissed her on her forehead.
I held her until I felt her body get heavy. The machines started to go off. Alex rushed in as the doctors ran in behind him. He held me as they tried to bring her back.. She didn't come back she was gone....
