~Sjin's Pov~
I chuckle slightly at the news I just received from Sips. "Mate, that's so awesome. You're really moving to Bristol?"
"Of course Sjin. It's actually really convenient for everyone, besides Lewis insisted. I'm not going to say no to the man." I smiled, practically seeing him roll his eyes at the ridiculous question I had asked.
"Oh so that's why the spare office next to mine is getting cleared out. I thought that Turps had hired another intern; but I suppose if you're moving, that room is for you."
I can hear Sips gasp. "I get a room next to you? No way mate, that's so awesome! I can literally roll my chair out of my room and come bug you all day during recordings."
I sigh jokingly. "Oh my god, please don't." He chuckles. "You asked for it buster." "Fine then, I'll do the same then." "How are you going to do that Sjin?" You can hear his teasing tone over the phone. "I'll scream and yell loudly." "And?" "Bang on the wall really hard." "And?"
I stumble a bit not quite knowing what to say. But when Sips hums softly something comes to mind. "That's what I-"
"I will moan things against that wall, you mother trucker." He stays silent, almost like he's readying himself for what I say next.
"Sips, ohh Sips." I whine, trying to stifle a giggle. "Faster harder, ohhhh just like that Sips." I try to keep my composure, because Sips sure can't. Laughing his ass off. Moaning a few times into my phone before I lose it too. Laughing right along with him.
We both settle after a while our laughing finally dying down. Sips is the first to speak. "Holy shit." He manages to get out.
"Game on then buster boy." Sips whispers, his voice oddly husky. Sending strange shivers down my spine. "I'll be there in two days time."
"Okay then Sips, I can't wait to see you again." I chirp.
"Me too bud." He responds.
"Say hi to Carlada for me."
"I will, bye Sjin."
"Bye Sips." I say ending the call.
I place my phone into my pocket. Leaning back into my chair I run through the conversation in my head. Giggling slightly at the memory of it all. I thought maybe I had taken it too far, but pondering on it a little more I realized, neither one of us cared. And if anything he sorta sounded like he liked it.
I shake my head. Why would he? I must be tired or something. All logic thrown into the wind.
I hear my office door open and I spin around in my chair. "Hey Sjin." My girlfriend, Erin, smiles.
"Hey Erin." I say, mirroring her smile.
"Ready to go home?" She asks.
"Sure, just give me two seconds." I turn to my computer. I save my editing, that Sips interrupted with his phone call. And I close down all of my tabs, before logging out completely. Making sure it was completely off before I get up from my chair. "Okay, let's get going." I say, wrapping my arm around her and giving her a small kiss on the cheek.
I close the door behind us as we exit my room and head towards the staircase. "Hey Sjin." Lewis says from inside the room next to mine, Sips' new room. We stop for a moment. "Hey Lewis." I smile. Kim steps over to Lewis as well. "Oh, hey Sjin."
She seems to be practically covered in paint similarly to Lewis. "Hey Kim. You two painting Sips' new room?" They nod. "I figured Sips might want a new paint job in his office." Lewis says.
"Can't wait to see it." Kim looks over to Erin for a moment. "You two heading out?" She asks. "Yeah, it's been a long day of work." Erin says with a slight smile.
"Okay well see you tomorrow then Sjin. You two have a nice evening." Lewis says. "Thanks Lewis." I say. "Bye you two." Erin waves slightly.
We continue down the hallway and the stairs. Quick running to the car as to avoid the slight down pour. The car ride back home was pretty quiet. We had a small chat about how the house next to ours had finally sold, and a little discussion about what we would have for dinner. Ultimately desiding on having a small fend for your self night, basically meaning just snacking on whatever you'd like and whenever you'd like. Otherwise it was a silent drive back to the house.
When we finally got back to the house I ran to the kitchen, raiding the pantry for random foods that sounded good to me. Once I had grabbed enough I headed to the couch. Dropping all of my goodies down before sitting next to them. Erin had also been in the kitchen but when she had come back, all she had was a can of soda. She sat in the chair across from me and set the can down on the table between us, leaving it there unopened. My first instinct upon her entering the living room was to turn the tv on, but some thing was off about her so I sat unwavering, munching on a Pringle.
"The drink is for you, I figured you might be thirsty." She sounded a bit nervous, but held a smile that showed that almost nothing was wrong.
She pushed it towards me slightly. Something was definitely off. "Are you okay?" She looked up at me suddenly, her eyes ripped from the can that sat between us. "I'm okay. I just- well I- uhh." Her certain nervousness started to show as her smile faded into more of a straight line.
She looked down at her feet, around the room, back at the soda can, anywhere but my eyes. I became very concerned.
"Paul, we need to talk."
A/N: Cliffhangers are fun. Please let me know what you think of the book so far. As I've mentioned before this book is certainly something different, it's not what you'd expect from me normally. If everything goes according to plan, I will continue this book :)
Also this book is rated NSFW-ish, for Sips and Sjin's antics and other future events. :p
