Chapter 4
I ran all the way to school at least it wasn’t raining but I have been crying so my makeup is ruined. I was in front of the school when I was tackled in a hug from Macey.
“Are you ok Case?” Macey asked.
“Ya, I’m ok.” I said. The bell rang and I started walking to class behind all of my friends. I made it to the front door of the school when I was pulled away from the doors.
“Casey we need to talk.” I looked and saw it was Travis.
“There’s nothing to talk about.” I said.
“Yes there is and you’re going to listen!” Travis yelled. He grabbed my arm and dragged me to his car.
“I don’t want to talk to you. Let me go.” I whispered.
“Get in the car Casey.” Travis growled. I just stood there not even moving an inch. I wasn’t afraid of Travis he wouldn’t do anything to me.
“That’s it.” Travis said and picked me up.
“Put her down.” I heard a familiar voice call.
“Why don’t you mind your own business Rusty.” I was shocked who’d think Rusty of all people would come and help me.
“Travis put Casey down now.” Rusty growled. I started punching Travis’ back, the next thing I knew I was on the ground next to Travis’ car. Great now my hair and dress is messed up.
“There she’s put down. You know what she’s not worth it.” Travis said then kicked me in the stomach. I grabbed my stomach in pain. Travis got in his car and drove away.
“Casey are you ok?” Rusty asked while helping off the ground.
“Does it look like I’m ok!” I hissed in pain.
“Sorry. Let me carry you to the nurse office.”
“No thanks I wouldn’t want to crush you.” I said and painfully started walking towards the school.
“Casey I didn’t mean what I said before.”
“Yeah right like I’m going to believe that.”
“Casey I’m in love with you.” I stopped walking. Did I hear what I think I heard?
“What did you just say?”
“Casey Ann Henders I Gavin Rusty Gomez is in love with you.”
“Your first name is Gavin? I always thought it was Rusty.”
“Casey I love you and all you care about is finding out my real first name is Gavin?”
“Rusty or Gavin whatever your name is I heard you. But I don’t love you; you put me through hell for what feels like my whole life. I hate you and you can’t change the way I feel.” I said and walked into the school and to the nurse’s office.
Rusty’s P.O.V
“Rusty or Gavin whatever your name is I heard you. But I don’t love you; you put me through hell for what feels like my whole life. I hate you and you can’t change the way I feel.” Casey said then she walked inside the school. I will change that just wait Casey Ann you will fall in love with me just you wait.
