The only part of memory she's lost, was the part about you and her. The words were still ringing in Luke's head as he made his way into his room, oblivious that his mother was calling out asking whether he's fine. He was in no mood to talk to anyone and he was not sure if he will be prepared to face Mary who had forgotten all about him.
He took his time in the showers, taking everything in again, occasionally feeling something hot rolling out from his eyes, slid down his pristine face, down to his chin. He had not cried in a long time, not after he grew into a teenager, learning to protect himself. When he finally got dressed, he made up his mind. He'll wait until Monday, when they go back to college to start a new, fresh year, he'll face Mary and help her recover the memories she lost. He would not face her tomorrow, he wanted to rest his mind for a day or two.
When he decided it was time to hit the sack, he slammed himself onto his soft, super single bed. Just about to doze off, he felt his phone gave a steady vibrate, indicating that he got a text. He gave a grunt of annoyance and reached for his phone. When he saw an unknown number, he was intrigued to unlock his phone for the full message.
Hi Luke. Caitlyn here. Got your number out from Mary's phone. Don't get too upset. She hasn't entirely forgotten your existence. She may not remember about your times together or your look or what, but she does remember a guy named Luke Kingston, is very important to her. She often tells me this because she would occasionally wake up to this name. But be careful when you help her to recover the memory. She doesn't trust people too early. You have to make her remember you're the real Luke she had been calling out for at night. It's late now. You hadn't let me finish talking, so here's your long ass message. I may be some help if you need any. Best of luck to you in reviving Mary's memory. Sleep tight and no worries. ☺🙆🌙-Kate
Luke read the message over and over again, until the fact that Mary hadn't entirely forgotten about him sank in, igniting the flames in his heart once more. There's hope. He gave a small smile and tapped to reply.
Thanks Kate. Thanks for telling me. I will. Anyways, you'll be in the same college as her right? Just so she has company. -Luke
Seconds after he texted back, came a short message: Yes.-Kate He finally felt happy and set his phone aside. He stared out from his window into the dark night sky before completely dozing off.

Time flies and it was Monday. He had woke up late. So instead of having breakfast as usual, he grabbed his car keys and stowed his way towards his metallic black Jaguar. After his father's death when he was 10 due to a sudden undetected heart attack, he left them a whole fortune which could last them as long as they live. He remembered his dad as a half-bald, easy going man, he often got away with his little mischieves while all his dad did was laugh them off. Now was not the time to linger on happy moments. He started the engine and drove into the broad driveway. When he finally came to a halt at the open-air parking lot of the college, he rushed to his locker. He was just in time to get the timetable from his locker, before heading to the auditorium with the others for a welcome-back-speech.
When he finally settled down, only did he realise that Marilyn was next to him, causing his heart to skip a beat. 'Oh hi Mary!' He greeted, trying to sound as casual as possible. The girl turned to face him and they eyes met. He swore he could see a glint of familiarity radiating from her blue, aesthetic eyes in a split of second. She quickly recovered herself and gave a killing smile, 'Hi! You're that guy from that night! What's your name? ' And you look familiar, she added in an undertone.
'Luke. I'm Luke Kingston, ' he sounded casual, but deep down, he could feel his heart beating really fast. He still had that dazzling smile plastered on his face, showing off his dimples. Her mouth gaped open. She mouthed the word 'Luke' and tilted her head a little. 'Why? Did you remember anything, Mary? ' Luke blurted. Marilyn looked at him blankly and clutched her head all of a sudden. Luke was taken aback. She could feel her head throbbing tremendously. She hissed a little in agony as a hand from her left smoothened her back and patted her.
'Are you fine, Mary?' Caitlyn said in a worried tone. Luke turned pale. He didn't know it would trigger her memory.
'I'm fine. It's just my head hurts a little, ' Marilyn sat up straight, adjusted her posture as she rubbed her temples a little.
'I'm really sorry, Mary. I didn't mean it, ' Luke immediately apologized. If he could choose, this was the last thing he would ever wanted to do-hurting her. Marilyn turned and smiled warmly, 'It's okay, Luke. I know my own problems.' Just as Luke attempted to argue that he shouldn't have asked that question, he was stopped by a tap on his shoulder.
'Hey mate. Where've you been? Late again huh?!' Julian shot him an accusing look. Luke grinned and turned to shoot both Marilyn and Caitlyn an apologetic look, to which he received friendly smiles in return.
Julian settled down beside Luke just as the head lecturer of the college shushed them and started a long, tedious speech. When he was halfway through his speech, Luke stretched a little, he caught sight of Madeleine sitting beside Caitlyn. She was talking to Marilyn occasionally, her tone more loving than ever. She really has changed alot. Now coming to think of it, she really couldn't be blamed and so Luke let go his grudges upon her and chanced a smile at her. Madeleine noticed Luke smiling at her and she was determined to help him revive her sister's memory and get them back together. She returned a heart-stopping smile.
Julian caught sight of Madeleine smiling at his best friend and nudged him a little, 'Hey, is that your girl's twin? They really look alike but at the same time different...aura I guess. Her name, if you would please. ' he looked tentatively at Madeleine, who was now chatting away with Caitlyn and Marilyn.
Luke glanced at him. Shook his head ever so lightly, and said, 'Madeleine Shannon Moore.'
