He brushed my hair away from my cheeks to get a better of view of me. We were lying down on the hotel bed, the warm white sheets covering our naked bodies.

I stared at the beautiful beast in front of me. And he stared back with an intensity. His eyes wandering on every inch of my skin, and his finger tip follows, the imprints leaving its trail like wildfire all over my body.

"You know what I fear the most?" He whispered, and I looked at him. His expression is telling me that his mind is flooding with troubled thoughts.

"What?"

"That someday, when we meet again, I'll see you happy with a little boy clinging by your side. And you'll see me wearing a smile as well, with a little girl clutching my hand tightly. Then we'll just helplessly smile at each other as the memories flood in. But deep inside... Deep inside, we know through each other's eyes that we still love each other," his gaze shifted to me before he continued. "But we still choose to go back to our own lives we never even dreamed of."

I understood what he meant, and he did his best to hide the pain beneath that perfect façade.

But then we both know ours is a hopeless case. The kind where there are no escapes. So I just reached out to him and kissed him.

We kissed like forever. We kissed like we knew that day will eventually come.
