I could see the fear in Annabeth's eyes as the monsters surrounded us, but it wasn't fear for herself. It was fear for Percy.

He could barely stand on his own and he was covered in wounds. Annabeth would have a hard time fighting too because she was supporting Percy. I left Percy's arm over my shoulder and helped Annabeth carry him so she could fight easier.

"You have one chance demigods, give us back Perseus Jackson or we'll take him the hard way," Tartarus said.

"You sound like a little five year old who wants his toy," Thalia smirked," the answer is obvious. You can't have Percy you monster."

Tartarus growled at Thalia and all the monsters attacked us.

I worked with Annabeth, hacking at all the monsters. We kept Percy between us so no monster could get to him.

"Annabeth, I'll carry him, you fight," I told her.

"Are you sure Jason? You can't defend yourselve," she worried.

"I'll be fine Annabeth," I said picking up Percy. I carried him bridal style and tried to make my way out of the building.

"Where are you going Jason Grace?" Tartarus asked appearing in front of me.

"You know, just a stroll. I heard Tuesday's are lively down here. Taco Tuesday right," I smirked. Maybe I had hung around Percy tok much.

Tartarus glared at me and ran at me with a sword he had created from shadows. I met his sword with mine, fighting with one hand and carrying Percy in the other.

"You won't last Jason Grace," Tartarus said," you can't hold him forever."

"Well I can sure try," I said.

Tartarus met my sword again and I stumbled back from the impact.

"He has a weak....defence on his...rig-" Percy tried to whisper to me.

I narrowly dodged and attack at my left side and managed to land a hit on Tartarus' left hip. Tartarus growled at that and slashed to my left side where I was holding Percy. Percy was cut on his shoulder, but what worried me was that he didn't even react.

Tartarus frowned at that and swept my feet from under me when I was paying attention to Percy

Percy fell from my arms beside me and my sword skittered across the floor. Tartarus raised his sword above his head and I bowed my head, accepting defeat.

I waited for the strike to come, but opened my eyes when it didn't.

I saw Grace standing there with my sword in hand, stopping Tartarus' sword from it's path towards me.

"Get out of here," she said,"I'll hold them off, but you guys have to get back."

I nodded and picked up Percy. Everyone had heard Grace and was now running towards the exit of the place.

"We have to get out of here for the pearls to work," Nico said.

We finally reached the doors and Nico hauled them open, stepping out into Tartarus.

"C'mon guys everyone take a pearl. Percy can you stand for this?" Nico asked.

Percy nodded, but glanced back at the place." Bob."

"Is fighting for you Perce, don't let that go to waste and let's get out of here so his sacrifice doesn't gof yo waste," I said.

Percy nodded and I caught a tear rolling down his cheek. He swayed dangerously on his feet, but managed to step on the pearl.

"Olympus." he muttered and everyone followed suit.

···

Poseidon was the first one to notice us and rushed over to his injured son.

"Oh my gods Percy." he said, hugging his son.

"Hi dad," Percy's voice cracked.

"What's wrong Percy,?" he asked," well besides the obvious."

Percy didn't respond, instead he clutched his theoat and sunk to his knees in the floor. He coughed violently and I noticed the red on the floor.

Poseidon turned white as Apollo ran over to acess to Percy.

"I'll bring him to my palace, I can treat him there," Apollo said.

Poseidon nodded and we all averted our eyes as Apollo flashed out.

"So Grace is still down there?" Zeus asked.

"Yes father," I told him," she saved my life while I was fighting Tartarus."

"Go find Apollo's palace demigods and visit your friend," Zeus said.

We all nodded and followed Annabeth out the doors.

···

Apollo's palace was bright gold and was not hard to miss. I rolled my eyes ant the plaque that read 'older twin.'

We walked into Apollo's palace and were met with Apollo running around frantically. He was muttering to himself and was grabbing almost all his medicine.

About an hour later, Apollo finally came out of the room and came over to us.

"He has a broken trachea and many other bones, there is blood in his lungs that I'm trying to pump, out and his scars are not fading," Apollo said," I tried giving him ambrosia and nectar, but it's not helping him at all."

"But he's not going to die, right?" Annabeth seemed to reasure herself.

"He's not going to die right now," Apollo said," I advice only one of you coming into the room to see him."

Everyone's gead turned towards Annabeth and she smiled at us. She walked towards the room and I could hear her crying ftom the sight of his body.

"I didn't want Annabeth to hear this," Apollo whispered," Percy has many signs of poisen in his body and I don't know if I can cure it."

"But you're the god of healing," Thalia said," why can't you heal it?"

"I'm the god of medicine, not healing," Apollo told us," this type of poisen will not hurt poisen, but it can make him severely depressed so I advice someone stay with him at all time."

Nico gasped," if this poisen goes into affect, we're back to square one."

Apollo nodded and I looked into the door where Percy was laying. He was trying to comfort her with his broken bones and Annabeth was crying, but happy crying. She listened to something he said and nodded before walking out to where we were.

"C-can you take us to the b-beach Apollo?" she asked.

"It would be better if Percy stayed here," he warned "but I can allow Percy to be out at the veach for thirty minutes, though he can't exert himself."

Annabeth nodded and walked back into the room where she told Percy the news. I watched as Percy's eyes lit up and he grinned.

Apollo clapped his hands and suddenly all five of us were sitting on sand.

"I ha-ven't...seen stars," Percy managed," hello..Zoe."

A tear ran down Percy's cheek as he gazed at the stars.

"Bob says hello."
