"So, Alex where do you live?" Carlisle asked me. I looked over at him from the couch I was sitting in. "Its not to far from here" I said because in a way it was true and I only focused on good old memories so Edward would not know that it was burned. Carlisle nodded believing my story. I noticed jasper looking at me. Crap. I forgot he must have picked up on my sadness. I watched as Edward glanced at him then saw him nod and shrug.
I was up in the room they had let me stay in listening to Shawn Mendes on my phone when there was a knock on the door. "Come in" I said and Bella walked in
"So tell me something Alex, when you were talking about your home and family Jasper noticed that your feelings changed to sadness. Can you please tell me why?" Bella asked me. I sighed I had to think of something and I had to think fast. "I uh I guess I just um miss them a lot." I lied Bella nodded " oh okay I understand. If you want to talk about it, just let me know" she said. I nodded and with that she patted my leg and walked out of the room.
It's been three days since Bella talked to me about my home and stuff so I knew I had to think of something.
Edward, Bella, and a few others went hunting.
Perfect I though to myself I had some time to come up with a plan oh but what would it be? Just then it hit me
A few hours later
The others were still gone it was time to put my plan in action. I dialed my cell phone using their house phone. I let my phone ring and then I put the house phone down and "answered" my phone. " hello? " I said in the phone and Carlisle looked up at me. I shrugged and he continued to read his book. "Ok yea sure I'll be there, ok love you bye" I said as if I was talking to someone.
Carlisle looked up at me again
"Who was that" he asked.
"Uhh just my family they uh want me home" I said
"Oh okay I'll drive you there" Carlisle offered politely
"No, no it's fine I can walk there it's not that far" I replied.
He nodded "well it was nice having you here and your welcome anytime to come over" he said kindly
I nodded "it was nice staying here" "goodbye" I said and with that I walked outside and wandered around aimlessly trying to figure out where I could go.
