Chapter 7

**Recap**

"What Luke shes hot! I do what I want with her!"

And in that very moment not a second after Luke threw a punch right at Nicks face, I gasped taken back. Then Nick swung around and kicked him right in the gut. Luke sputtered out a curse laced with blood and brought his fist right to Nicks face pounding him over and over until they were both covered in blood. I was still in shock just standing there watching them each both fit a punch in. "Shit," I cursed under my breath..........

"Hey stop! STOP! NICK GET OFF OF HIM! STOP! COME ON!" I yelled pulling at his shirt. "Get away from me, bitch!" He elbowed me in my gut and continued to through punches at Luke. As Luke saw me fall to the ground in pain he screamed "Hey don't touch her!" He pushed Nick to the ground getting on top of him and straddling him he then continued to punch Nick in his face over and over again.

In the midst of the chaos my door swing open and suddenly there was a piercing scream from none other then Calin, "What the hell is...WOAH?!" He charged towards Luke and Nick still fighting as aggressively as before.

Calin was able to pull Nick away as I tugged Luke's shirt towards me. "Luke it's not worth it," I would whisper against his ear as I pulled him off the ground. "He's not even worth our time."

He nodded draping his arm over my shoulder pulling me into his warm body making me feel and secure in his arms. "HOW IN THE FUCK DID THIS START?" Calin all but yelled. I'm actually surprised none of my other brothers didn't hear us, maybe they were sleeping or out or playing video games or something...

All I know is Calin and my brothers can't find out about Nick taking advantage of me! They just can't find out. My moms finally happy and I can't ruin it now I mean she may be a bitch but I just couldn't ruin our new combined family because of me. I can't be selfish now.

Luke suddenly spoke up, "We'll Nick over there was talking about how he," OH MY GOD he's about to tell Calin about Nick?! I have to stop him! Then momentarily my lips smashed upon Luke's. It started out as a soft kiss that lingered. Then it was like something in me switched. I was kissing him deeply and he was hugging me close.

My emotions were like fireworks. This is wrong, he's my best friend.

No, this is perfect. This is how it's supposed to be.

Luke put his hands on my lower back and pressed me closer, I never wanted this to end. "Wow um Carter I uh trust that you guys have this all resolved now, I guess uh I will leave BYE!" Calin murmured walking out. Nick still glaring at us as he walked out slamming the door seconds after Calin.

I separated from our kiss that felt as if it lasted forever. I suddenly felt self conscious as I glanced up at Luke's brown chocolate eyes. "I uh I," I stuttered.

"You were uh..... About to tell Calin about Nick taking advantage of me...... And no one can find out." I murmured my eyes not leaving his face.

"Carter I'm sorry. It's not fucking right, come here." He said meaningfully while he gestured towards my bed. He pulled me close to him, whispering "It will be ok, it's all gonna be ok now." I felt water prickle in my eyes but I held back my tears like I had so many times before. I just hold it all in, not knowing when or where I'm gonna break and just burst. But that's what scares me the most, not knowing when I'm gonna burst. "You know you can tell me about it, right?" He whispered his lips lingering on my ear. I took a big breath in getting ready to tell him everything but paused. "Luke I-I can't please just please don't make me tell you, trust me it's, it's nothing I swear he doesn't touch me anymore," I lied smoothly hoping he would believe me. "I promise I will tell you soon but not know." I said as a single tear escaped me eye. Then more fell loose rolling gently down my face. His eyes were filled with curiousness and anger and so much sadness I couldn't understand how he somehow felt all those emotions at once.

He stuttered at a loss of words, "Carter,I swear I will not let Nick put one hand on you ever. I will protect you, I promise!"

"I know you will." I mumbled into his shirt. He was quite for a moment watching me and then he nodded his head, "So movie time?"

I smiled cuddling into him, my eyes becoming weak from all the tears that spilled out. I wondered what he was thinking, what was going on in his head I mean we kissed, and it was amazing I wonder if he felt the sparks too.

"Alright um what movie do you wanna watch?" I whispered sitting up a little now face to face with him. "What movies do ya have?"

"We we can watch The Avengers or 21 Jump Street or-" Then Luke's loud voice butted in,

"21 JUMP STREET! I WANNA WATCH 21 JUMP STREET!" He yelled like a little kid on Christmas morning.

"YES! I wanted you to say that! I love that movie so damn much," I yelled.

"Wait ah dammit! The movies are all downstairs, I guess I can run down quick oh and pop some popcorn too as fast as I can." I continued.

"Nah Carter I'll come down with you." He retorted pushing himself off the bed. "My brothers could come down stairs any second and see you and I can not guarantee your safety especially when-"

"Carter, fuck em all, their all probably in their rooms playing video games." He laughed giving me a reassuring smile. Behind him I glanced through the window at the sun setting, casting purple and pink colors across the night sky. His eyes glinted as the sun shone in his face. I just stood admiring the scene as he stood beside my bed just staring back at me.

I grinned grabbing Luke's hand looking both ways before we raced down the stairs, "I bet I could beat you there!" He whisper-yelled.

"Ya right!" I replied dashing past him down the rest of the stairs, as I was about to enter the living room I felt a strong pair of arms wrap around my waist pulling me backwards, I turned around to face a grinning Luke. "LUKE LUKE! Let me go I was about to WIN!" I whined. "Are you sure about that?" He smiled suddenly dropping me on the couch and racing to the kitchen. "Dammit!"

He's so cheeky! And strong! And hot! And god that kiss! I just can't get that kiss out of my mind! I can't believe I kissed my best friend!

After 21 Jump Street which was absolutely hilarious I mean the guy picked up his dick with his mouth? Like what the fuck? (If you didn't watch 21 Jump Street it's a weird and really funny movie) Anyway after the movie we decided to go on twit cam and have some fun.

Luke warned patting my back genteelly, "Let me warn you, some viewers can get a little cunt-ish and most of the rest are not cunt-ish at all."

"Wait what? Cunt-ish? Will they hate me, how about if they don't like me and then they make fun of me then what??" I asked worriedly not taking any breaths.

"Carter stop blabbiling! I promise you will be fine I'm right here, yeah?"

"Yeah ok let's fuck this shit up, then!" I replied starting the twit cam.

This should be plenty fun I smirked with a devious smile.
