Chapter 2: Preparations (Elise)
I am now preparing for tomorrow, my 18th birthday and my coming of age ceremony! The event will take place in our palace tomorrow evening AND this dress I'm holding is going to be my outfit. A red princess-style dress that has a v-shaped neckline low enough to reveal the ample cheeks of my breasts. Just enough to turn on George, my lovely suitor. This is the dress I bought with Ella last week at Le Ruban de la Reine. Classy and striking.
I hide the dress in my closet because I've noticed the time, it's almost time for dinner. I promised to meet my two friends at Palais Alimentaire, a restaurant that's a favorite of the Roses. I check my face on the mirror one last time to see if my make-up and outfit is spot-on. Ah yes, my purple spaghetti strap blouse fits well with olive green short jeans. Once again I will stand out as the most beautiful among my friends for sure.
"Madame, it's almost time I believe we need to go." Ella shouts from outside my dressing room's door. "The car is ready."
I grab my small hand bag, which contains my wallet and my make-up for retouching, and rush outside. "Let's go, Ella."
Fancy lights and elegant tables. Here we are now in Palais Alimentaire. My friends were here earlier and I can see them waving on me from our reserved table. These two persons are my closest friends. We've been together ever since childhood. We've had piano and violin lessons together, and ironically, also competed with each other. I was, of course, the best among us. Allice van Dandrumm, 17. Daughter of a rich businessman. A young lady of fair skin, turquoise eyes, and blonde hair. Petite, an image similar to that of a doll's. My other friend is Lily Pierre, now 19. Also a daughter of a rich businessman. Pale-skinned, boasting hazel eyes and chestnut hair. Her body shape is slightly plump, just slightly, not plump enough to look corpulent.
"Elise!" Allice and Lily shouted, their hands still waving.
I cat walked my way to our reserved table where they are waiting. Ella has remained in the car to wait for me. "Hi! Allice, Lily!" I response as I sit on one of the empty seats. "It's good to see you!" A young waiter quickly approaches us and asks us for our orders. We just tell him to give us their best meal for dinner, and along with it, their best dessert.
"Splendid, madam." The waiter smiles and steps away to place our order.
"I'm so excited for tomorrow!" Allice starts a conversation. "You're finally turning 18, I can't wait to give you my present."
"Oh my, Allice, you didn't have to. I wonder what you're going to give me though." I answer.
"I'm sure Elise would like my gift better." Lily winks.
"Come now, my friends. I'd love the both of your gifts. After all, as what our parents and church taught us, it's the thought that counts!" I smile.
After waiting for 20 minutes, our orders have arrived. As we eat our pleasant meal, we continue to have friendly conversations about our crushes, attainments, and love life.
"Ahh that was a lovely meal." Lily utters. Ah among us, Lily is the one who loves food the most.
"Well, I guess this is it for tonight, my girls." I bid goodbye. "See you tomorrow! Wear your best outfits all right?!"
"You bet we will." Allice replies.
We all stand up and head to our respective vehicles, with our drivers awaiting us. In my case, of course, it's my very multi-talented Ella. "Have you enjoyed the night, milady?" she asks.
