"I can't believe you talked me into this." standing under a tree just outside the gate to the graveyard.
She looked left and right making sure no one came.
'Well I wanna see this spot! the amount of stories about this place, where the grass doesn't grow."
"Yer that's just what it is, a spot in the graveyard that doesn't grow grass." she crossed her arms over her chest and huffed.
"Can we just hurry up! I have to be home before mid night!" they walked through the now open gates and followed the path to the very back of the graveyard. They walked past stone statues and graves, they walk to the old part of the cemetery, with their shovels over the black covered shoulders.
"Oh, stop your whining Lottie, look we are almost there." She pointed to the side of path where a large bit was a light brown and and sand every where, they both stopped walking and smiled.
"Okay you start and I keep watch." Lottie said and turned around.
"Why do I have to start?"
"Because Sammie you where the one that wanted to do it." she huffed and started to push her shovel into the ground, with each grunt a pile of sand would land about a meter from Lottie's feet.
She roled her eyes and looked around and kept her ears tuned to any sound.
About half an hour later a dirty huffing and puffing Sammie popped her head out of the rectangle she had started to make.
"You know what, if we both do it at the same time, it would be quicker." Lottie looked behind her and sighed.
"Fine, but I swear if you as so as think about throwing sand at me I will kill you in your sleep tonight." Sammie laughed and went back to digging.
"Just hurry up and get helping woman I wanna see if there is really a body here!"
For the next 3 hours they worked and worked until their shovel hit something hard.
The both looked up and smiled, throwing the shovels to the side they got down on their knees and started to push the dirty off the hard surface they hit.
Lottie working at the top of the casket felt something lumpy, grabbing her flashlight she looked at the patterns on the stone.
She traced it with her finger, following it to a small hole., around it where words written into the stone.
"Blood awakens the dead soul of the night, blood awakens the killer tonight, cut your finger and drop some blood, to awaken the master of the night." Lottie felt something run through her body, she turned around and grabbed a sharp tool and poked it into her finger.
Slowly she pressed it and watched as three drops fell into the hole She heard Sammie gasp behind her as they heard a sound like moaning from under them.
"Lottie, we have to get out of here now!" Sammie jumped up grabbing the shovels and flashlight.
Jumping out of the hole she waited for Lottie to come, when they both where out of the hole with everything they took with them they ran.
Just as they past a large statue of an angel they heard a loud bang and something landing onto the ground.
Lottie looked behind her and gasped as she saw a man with long black hair, that went past his shoulders, his eyes blazing gold as he watched her run.
He was wearing a ripped white shirt that showed off his muscular white chest and black pants, that kept the remaining bits of the shirt in place.
He smiled showing off long white fangs and started to run after the girls, Lottie looked forward and saw Sammie was already a head of her, she Lottie looked behind her and saw the man was going.
It was when she heard a scream that she looked in front of her.
Skidding to a stop she saw her friend being held by the neck in the air as the man looked up at her with hunger.
"Haven't your parents ever told you not to go out at night." His think British accent said.
"Put her down!" Lottie was now close enough to them that she saw how frightened Sammie was.
He turned his head and smiled, dropping Sammie to the ground he was in front of her in seconds.
"Ahh you must be the girl who gave me life. I must thank you for that." He reached out to touch a strain of Lottie's hair.
"Don't touch me." she went to move back and he rapped his arm around her waist.
"Ahh but you see little Lottie, you can't tell me what to do. You may of awakened me but you do not control me." He pulled her to his chest bringing his long pale fingers to her face.
"You are very beautiful, with your long red hair and bright green eyes, you actual remind me of someone, someone I never wanted to forget." He smiled and put his face near her neck and breathed in.
"You also smell just like her, and your blood taste the same. Oh my I know just who you are Lottie Blade Daverson. The doppelganger of Lottie Goldson." He smiled and laughed.
"i DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT NOW LET ME GO!!" She tried to get out of his arms but no matter how hard she shoved at his chest nothing worked.
"Hmm, you even act like her to." He smiled even wider.
He pulled her closer he opened his mouth showing off his long sharp white fangs and went to go her neck.
"Let her go Dimitri." He pulled back and smiled.
"Ahh, isn't the old man him self Sir James Goldson." He turned around but kept his arm around Lottie's waist.
"Let her go." He held a cross bow at his chest.
"Ah the old crossbow, I see you made it look more new." "And no can do James, I am not allowing you to taker whats mine away from me again!" He hissed and pulled her closer.
"Just let go of my grand-daughter!" He went to walk forward.
"I wouldn't do that if I was you." He pulled Lottie in front of him and push her head to the side, giving him a clear view of his lovely mates tanned neck.
"Papa!" she started to cry as her grandfather took a step back.
"Let my princess go, she is all I have left!" Dimitri smiled and laughed.
"Ahh let me guess, your daughter died at the birth of your granddaughter, so you named her Lottie."
James had not aged a bit, after he had berried Dimitri he was attacked by a new born vampire, it had bitten into his neck allowing the venom to enter his veins.
He had stabbed it in the heart with one of his wooden arrows killing it before it could even take a gulp of his blood, but before he knew it his body started to burn, he screamed into the night as he transformed into the one thing he loathed.
He was now known as a vampire hunter that hunts his own, just the bad ones never the good ones, he would recruit vampires that where turned, but not by their choices. He helped them from the dark side and allowed them to fight along side him killing as many evil vampires out there.
"I see you are also like me." Dimitri smiled and smelt Lottie's neck.
"Did you know she was the one that brought me back, she is the reason I am here right now. And because of that I must have her as mine." He went to put his teeth in her neck when he felt something hit in on his left shoulder.
Hissing he dropped Lottie to the ground and flew off.
"I will be back for her and when I do return you better wish you hadn't changed at all."
"Lottie are you alright?"
"I'm sorry papa, I didn't mean for this to happen, I just read the writing and felt something take over me! I really am sorry please don't send me to my father please!" she ran into his arms and hugged him.
"I know sweetie I know." He pressed his lips to her forehead and pulled her with him to the car. placing her in he watched as she closed her eyes a fell asleep.
"Oh, Lottie what are we going to do now." he closed the door and walked to the other side.
