Braden's pov:

Kelly's still not back. She ran out on me over an hour ago. I haven't left her house because no one else is home. So it's just been me and Max, who is currently laying on my lap.

I don't even know why she was so upset. All I said was that I was tired. I mean, I admit, I was a little sassy, but she really just overreacted. To be honest, I'm a little worried though. I have no clue where she is or when she'll be back.

I hope she comes home soon.

I get up to feed Max when she walks through the door.

"Braden! Thank good you're still here." She sighs and takes a seat at the table.

"Before you say anything, I just want you to know that I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to be rude and I don't know what came over me." I spill as I sit down across from her.

"No, B, I'm sorry. I shouldn't of reacted the way that I did and you didn't even do anything wrong. I was just mad. I don't know, but I'm sorry." She smiles, reaching across the table and taking my hand.

"So we're okay?" I ask.

"Braden, we're great." She gets up and comes over and sits on my lap. I wrap my arms around her and she places her hands on my neck. "I missed you." She says.

"We were only in a fight for 2 hours." I laugh.

"I know. The worst 2 hours of my life." She cups my chin in her hand and kisses me.

God I love her kisses.

I take a breath for air. "Wow." I say. "I didn't realize you missed me that much." I laugh again.

She laughs too. "I just love you a lot."

"I know. I love you too." I say, brushing her hair off of her face.

She smiles a little but I can tell that she's hiding something.

"Kelly, what's wrong?" I pick her up and bring her over to the couch where it's more comfortable.

"What? Nothing."

She just lied to me.

But I know her, if it's something that she doesn't want to talk about yet, then I shouldn't try to pry it out of her. I should respect her privacy. She'll tell me when she's ready.

"Ok." I whisper. "C'mon, let's go get ice cream or something."

That makes her smile. "Alright, I'll go grab some money." She gets up and heads for the stairs.

I stop her. "No, Kel-Bel, I'm a gentleman. I can pay."

"And I'm a girl who can pay for herself." She argues.

"And I'm not letting you do that." I say, moving closer to her and wrapping my arms around her waist.

"Oh yeah? And what are you gonna do if I don't let you?" She teases.

"I guess I'll just have to do this." I pick her up and throw her over my shoulder. "Now you can't do anything about it." I tease, heading out the front door.
