Kelly's pov:
I let go of his hand and I can't even look at him.
"You're scaring me Kel-Bel, what's the matter?" His voice fills with fear.
"Braden- you know I love you, right?" I look deep into his eyes.
"Of course, I love you too." He moves in and tries to kiss me, but I push him away.
"Kelly.."
"Look, I don't wanna hurt you, but I can't do this anymore."
"Do what?"
"This, Braden. I'm sorry.."
"Wait." He knows. "Before you say anything else, just know that I adore you Kel-Bel, always have, always will." He smiles and I still get butterflies in my stomach.
"I'm so sorry Braden." I say as tears begin to roll down my face. "I'm sorry. I still love you..."
"You can't be serious right now.. please tell me you're joking.." He awkwardly laughs.
"Well.."
He cuts me off. "Why?! Just tell me why! Why would you do this to me!?" He stands up and paces across the living room floor.
"I didn't mean for this to happen!" I cry harder.
He comes over and sits beside me. He wipes away my tears and rocks me back and forth, just like he always does to calm me down when I'm upset. Even when I'm breaking up with him, he's still a total sweetheart.
"Braden," I whisper. "I have to do this."
He gets mad again. "So you're just gonna throw away everything we have for the stupid new guy?! We have something real Kelly. Something worth fighting for. And you're just gonna leave that all behind? Just please.. tell me why." His voice breaks at the end.
"Be-c-cause.." I choke on my own words. "Kevin is great, B. Don't get me wrong, you're great too, and I will always love you. It's just..... I don't know..... I guess I need a change? Something new?"
He takes one deep look into my eyes and he knows the truth.
"No. I know why Kel-Bel. I know why you're tearing up heart, I know."
I look away. "And why is that Braden?"
"You love him, don't you?!" He screamed at me.
"I don't know! Maybe I do!" I screamed back.
"Then we're done. And not just with this, we're done for good."
He walks out and never looks back.
I break down in tears.
I lost him.
I really lost him.
