⚜Capítulo Uno⚜
[Amelia's POV]
My alarm began to ring, indicating that it's time for another day in the trenches. I tried to drown out the annoying sound, but groaned irritatingly to no avail. Turning off the alarm on my phone, I turned lazily out my bed.Rubbing my eyes tiredly, I dragged myself to the bathroom and began my daily routine hastily. Painting red lipstick onto my lips, my quest is finished of getting ready for college. Grabbing my bag, car keys and phone, I head straight through the door.
I pressed my car key and hopped in my car. My bag was thrown beside me in the passenger's seat. Turning my keys into the ignition, a smirk played across my face as the sound of roaring came alive. I inhaled a deep breath, smiling the inside of my car which smells of fresh flowers. I'll grab breakfast on my way to school, I thought to myself.
⚜At School⚜
"Buenos días, estudiantes. ¿Cómo están?" (Good morning, students. How are you?) Our teacher recited, as she walked around handing out our test papers from last week. "Muy bien gracias, y usted?" (Good, and you?) We shouted back to her as if we were soldiers. She glided my test paper on my desk with it facing down, and smiled proudly at me. She continued sharing out the test papers while I flipped my paper anxiously.
I exhaled a breath of relief, as I saw a big A on my paper in red ink. Rolling my eyes playfully, I traced my finger over the kindergarten sticker Mrs. Rodriguez slapped onto my paper.
It's obvious that I'd most definitely dodge any Spanish test señora will shoot at us, because I'm Latina. (Colombian) Don't have to hesitate or ponder on what to scribble on these papers, because I know probably everything.
I was dragged out of my train of thoughts when Mrs. Rodriguez stated that she'll be teaching the basic pronunciations for the class one more time. Groaning inwardly, I drowned her voice out as she began to pronounce words, instructing the class to repeat after her.
My eyebrows knitted together, when I felt someone's eyes burning at the side of my skull. My eyes followed the path of where the gaze was coming from. They landed on Harry Styles. Our eyes locked and I swiftly averted eye contact, unlocking our gazes.
I nervously tapped my pen on the desk, feeling Harry still boring a hole in my head. Why is he looking at me like that? I asked myself sceptically, as I made a curtain with my hair to hide myself from him.
Biting into my bottom lip, I strained myself to listen to Mrs.Rodriguez in an attempt to ignore his stares.
"Next thing we'll be learning today class, is tiempo imperfecto" (imperfect tense) She stated, writing the verb endings on the bored. I rolled my eyes and sighed heavily. She always rehearse the basics of Spanish for the students. They should be old enough to learn more about Español.
I began packing my bag, as I glanced at my watch that reads that it's five more minutes till the bell signals for class to be dismissed.
Next class, English Literature. I inwardly groaned. This class is the most boring class, to ever come across.
"Amelia, may I please speak with you and Harry after class?" Mrs. Rodriguez asked politely, startling me when I heard my name being called. My eyebrows furrowed together, for probably the millionth time today. Why would she need to see me after class with.... Harry?
