"More and more alien spaceships come in and destroy homes. Police men have tried and some have died. They will be remembered," said the reporter. She showed a group of aliens march out of a ship. Then she screamed and the camera fell to the floor. We turned off the tv.
"What should we do," Stephan asked.
"Those ships are too small and vulnerable to enter the Earth's atmosphere without blowing up. They need to come from a source," I said. I went over to the computer. "There! And it's bigger than it looks. It's 104 feet high and 1277 feet wide. It'll take more than a few bombs to destroy it! Wait." A small tab came out. "It says that every alien attacking cannot breath the human air, because they have a different heart in their bodies. This ship helps them breath so they won't suffocate and die. If we destroy this mother ship, then we save the world."
"Where is it?" Yasmeen asked.
I looked again. "Antarctica. That's not good. By the time we get there, thousands will be dead! We need another plan!" I thought for a moment. "We need Aneksi back! She and Yasmeen can stay here, since fire is the opposite of ice. You can hold them off, right?"
"Totally."
"Good." Then I tapped my Caller three
times. "She will be here. Jake, go suit up in thermal mode." Thermal mode was wearing a warmer outfit, it still looked the same, but it made you warmer. Instead of wearing my normal sweater, I wore one with a hood. I tied my hair in a ponytail and pulled the hood on. Then I put on some thermal pants and some snow boots. I shoved on some gloves and put some goggles on my belt. I walked out and took the elevator to the living room. I saw Jake in his thermal suit. Stephan was in his regular suit. According to him, his power allows him to withstand any coldness. Aneksi was there waiting. We both waved.
"Ready?" They nodded. "We'll take the starship, Yasmeen and Aneksi, be careful. I loaded the nuclear bomb that we're going to use. We'll stay in touch with these." I handed out a small round radios that could easily fit in your ear. We all put them on.
The three of us ran into the starship as Aneksi and Yasmeen rode motorcycles to the aliens.
I quickly took the controls and turned on stealth mode. I turned on the engine as we all strapped in. The starship rose from the ground. Then I set us to speed mode. I felt the starship zip through the sky. I checked our travel time. An hour until we get there. Then a beeping started. The screen switched to the map of the ship. The part of the engine was beeping.
"Stephan, can you go and check the engine?" I asked. He went to the back of the room.
"The engine is frozen with ice. I'll fix it!" He called.
"Be careful!!" I said.
"I know!! I got it!!!" He yelled. He opened the door. The wind sent a cold chill in, the water ran in an incredible speed under us. I watched as Stephan pulled himself to the roof, his legs dangling there for a second. I quickly ran back to the map, it showed a figure climbing to the engine, that was Stephan. He was there for a while, then the beeping stopped. Then I looked at the travel hour, 30 minutes. Then I looked around, where was Stephan? Jake seemed to notice too, because he was looking out the doorway. Then I heard a scream, I ran to the doorway. There, in the water, was Stephan inside the tentacles of a huge... I don't know. Then I saw to side a woman, standing on a price of ice, smiling. She was waving around, she was controlling the creature!! Stephan wasn't going to make it. I pulled my gun.
"No!!" I heard Stephan yell. "Go!! Finish the mission!! GO!!!!" Then the creature pulled him into the sea, blue mist rose out from where he was. I looked at it with big eyes. No. No. This can't be happening! Jake pulled me in. He closed the door. I just kept on staring at the door. I was so shocked that I couldn't even cry. Then my radio crackled.
"Cat? Come in, Cat." It was Yasmeen's voice.
"Cat in. How's it going there?"
"Not good, no other superhero is helping us." I heard her grunt. "You?"
"I..." I couldn't tell her. But I had to.
"What?"
"Stephan.. He.."
"What. What happens to him?!"
"He, he went to visit the sea..."
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"He's dead, Yasmeen, he's dead."
I heard a small gasp. Then silence.
"Hey, you okay?" I asked.
"Y- yeah. I'm fine." But I heard a small sob.
"Fight for him, okay?"
"Yes, I'll do it. Fire out." Then there's was nothing.
I walked over to the controls. 3 more minutes. I checked the nuclear bomb beside me. Through the window, I saw white, just white. The starship landed. With heavy hearts, me and Jake stepped out of the ship with the bomb. There it was, the mother ship.
"We need to get to the core of the ship," I said, trying to forget the ordeal that happened a few minutes ago. I pulled out the scanner. It took a few minutes. I walked through a small opening I found. It took us ten minutes to find the core, that took a really long time. This is a really big ship. I put the nuclear bomb down. As Jake connected the bomb to the core, I had another call from Yasmeen.
"Fire, yes?"
"We're losing, badly. We're surrounded. We need help!"
"Don't worry, we're almost done!! Hold them off!!"
"I can't- we can't! Aneksi's hurt! She's dying! She might not make it!"
"No! Hold them off!"
"I'll try! I- ahhh!"
"YASMEEN!!!!!"
Then there was silence.
"Bluefire, come in, Bluefire!!" I quickly tapped my radio's button. "Aneksi? Aneksi, come in."
"Aneksi in."
"Where's Yasmeen?"
"She's... She is..."
"No. No. No. No! That can't be! No! Are- are you okay?"
"I can hold off for a while, but I cannot hold on for long."
"Try, just try!"
"Aneksi, out."
I looked at Jake. I was fighting off tears. Why did this happen? Why? I felt my eyes water. Jake came over.
"Hey," he wrapped his arms around me. "It's bad, it is. But we have to go on. Do this for them, ok? For our friends. They would want us to move on. And save the world, even without them. C'mon." I wiped the tears away and tried to stop more from coming. The bomb was in place, the button glowed brightly, waiting to be pressed. Wait- "Whose going to blow it?" I turned to Jake. His eyes were sad. "No. Jake no!! You are not going to do this!! You can't!"
"I'm sorry, Reyna. I have to."
"Then I'll stay here!"
"No. I'm gonna get you out."
"No! No! You can't. You won't." But he picked me up and zipped me outside. He set me on the ground.
"Bye, Raven." Then he zoomed away. I fell to my knees. Tears came, I couldn't hold them back. Then the mother ship exploded, blue mist streamed out. I cried, even though the mission was a success. But then I heard a ship engine sound. I looked up. Another ship rose. The real mother ship. All of this was a trap. All my friends died for nothing!! Anger washed over me. I looked up again. The mother ship was heading toward me, it's cannons faced me. Go ahead. Shoot me. I don't care. Then multiple shots rang out.

I woke up with sweat on my face. I looked around, I was in the living room. Blue mist was swimming around me. Where were my friends? Are they alive? The place was broken down and trashed. Someone had attacked us. I heard yelling and screaming as I stood up. I ran to basement. And there were my friends fighting that woman. That same woman who attacked me while I was on my motorcycle last week. That was when Jake was possessed. And now, she was back with more rivalry.
